Legend Dogos (Dogo Argentino Dog Breeders) / Poor Breeding Practices

1 Athens, AL, United States Review updated:

I purchased a puppy from Legend Dogos back in January 2009 for $3, 000. The papers they sent me were bogus since supposedly this was a show quality dog from champions. My beautiful Ace has suffered tremendously from their poor breeding practices. At the age of 1 1/2 Ace tore his ACL cost us $6, 000. Then at the age of 3 he started suffering stomach problems and would not eat or eat sporadically. He also would break out in these nasty puss filled welts. He was later diagnosed with Paniculitis which is an autoimmune disease which he has to take medication for the rest of his life. That cost us $5, 000 in vet bills since he had to have several surgeries in order to drain the pustules. Then last month he had to have surgery on his other leg for another torn ACL another $6, 000 in expenses. He also had a huge sore on his side that we do not know what it is yet. Right the vet is treating it with antibiotics. I am just so disgusted by these people that because they have bad breeding practices my poor guy has suffered almost his entire life. These people should never ever be allowed to breed dogs again.

I have just read your complaint about Legend DOGOS, and know all to well what you experienced. I bought a dogo (Tahoe) from them in February of 2010. Last week I had to put Tahoe to sleep due to numerous bouts with cancer. 6 years with my amazing dog was far to short. He had numerous skin problems throughout his life and also ACL problems. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to talk about Legend Dogos.
