I was hired as a personal assistant for Courtland Tyler (aka Corry Tyler, Corry Weinberg, etc.). The job description was not accurate to the work that he assigned me, which consisted mostly of driving him across Los Angeles in order to buy and sell coins. After only a few days of work, I picked up on his "unconventional" business and how it operated. Firstly, he does not have a permanent office. He has a mailbox at 1626 Wilcox Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90028 and he has a "virtual office" at 10100 Santa Monica Blvd. in Century City, which is a space he's allotted to use a few days out of the month. Neither of these spaces are actual offices. Most of the time I met him and worked from his apartment at 1211 Horn Avenue in West Hollywood. The lack of office space for his record label and music licensing company was probably due to the fact that such work is actually not the primary business of Corry. Buying and selling coins for some "quick, untraceable cash" is what he was most interested in. Shady? Definitely. But I stuck it out for the first few days and attempted to remain open-minded as his new employee; that soon we would actually focus on music-related business. My patience for Corry waned as our work day continued to be inconsistent, whether it was where I would be driving him that day, what time we would actually begin work or what time I would be able to leave. Most days he would contact me 15 minutes before we were supposed to meet, asking if he could postpone it another hour or so.
After less than two weeks working for Corry, we met one day at the virtual office in Century City with three other of his female employees who also held a variety of ambiguous and mostly useless titles. He was incredibly angry and venting to one of the girls about some information that had been posted about him on the Internet. With my computer in front of me, I decided to search his full name online: "Courtland Tyler." It was then that I found the variety of experiences that others had with Corry and his "record label." He had ripped off artists for royalties, skipped out on his responsibilities for funding bands he had signed, and gone essentially insane with one former assistant-like employee. That day I decided I would not return to work for Corry at JetSpeed Records.
My priority was to not work for Corry any longer, but on the day I had quit, he had paid me none of the $630 he owed me for the two weeks of work I did. Corresponding and attempting to coordinate with him EVERY DAY for 16 days after I quit in order to get the money he owed me was a true nightmare. Each day, I was supposed to meet him at 11 am, then 2 pm, then after this meeting and traffic is so bad, "so it's going to have to be tomorrow..." After over two weeks of him lying each day in order to avoid meeting me, I retrieved the money 8 hours after our original meeting time.
Thankfully, Corry and JetSpeed only wreaked havoc on my life for a sheer month. But, the other people I've found online have incurred a great deal more damage and loss due to Corry and his cons. Unfortunately, because of his fake names and lack of a legitimate business and office, it is likely that Corry will be able to continue to lie and cheat people with his outlandish stories and false promises.

This Man has scammed and conned tones of money from workers and bands a like. if you are offered a job with this man for an assistant position run fast! he will tell you that your going to work with music related things (he owns a busted down record Label) check it out he has tones of law suits against him for multiple scams. he will constantly lie and try to pay you with checks that of course bounce he only pays cash and never on time leavening you with bills to pay and they will always be late. He will have you only work with coins in which he fraudulently marks with higher grades then makes you try to sell them to coin shops and that could put you in huge trouble with the feds. Trust me this man is a shark he will tell you he has connects to people if you are an actress (he only hires females) he will lie and lie saying he knows agents and managers. if you are homosexual watch out he will slander your orientation, he will talk about past employees and talk nothing but ### about them when in fact he has ruined theirs lives and they had to get out. please head my words all i want to do is warn you please get out do not work for this man he will ruin your financial situations and your life.
