Company has totally changed. Do not trust them with your employment, credit card info, to be honest or caring about anything but what time you clock out. Customer orders sit in stations days and weeks at a time but they don't care. Credit card numbers get thrown in the everyday trash instead of the info being shredded if an invoice page gets left out. Management lies, are racist and bully. Can't believe it. Cannot believe The types of lawsuits JC Penney is involved in. Just that alone proves you cannot trust them. Going about things in such a bad way. I used to be a loyal JC Penney employee and former employee until I went back. Customers are last, employees right after that or same. The Golden Rule is gone. I don't think anyone can save a lie no matter how many people they let go and ruin their life to do so. Losing customers consistently and letting employees go 20 minutes before shift even though promised they would not even 8 hours before layoff with no way to prepare for a life change is bad business and unethical and cruel. Everyone lies. They have rundown the distribution center terribly and there isn't any roll call taken during fire drills...everyone new and management will anyone be sure everyone is accounted for? They wouldn't. They used to be a great company, safe and ethical. I imagine this post is a waste of time but I thought I'd add something regardless. See attached for Christmas orders left behind one day last year. Just one day gathered by myself, sitting for two weeks some of them. Promised by the 24th of December dated from the 9th. This happens every couple days. Customers might not get orders for weeks but they don't care. They care what is on the reports they do, not the reality they are running away their own customers and don't even train employees more than one or two days. Management critical daily. I never heard one nice word out of him. No one knows what they are doing anymore. They need to bring some people back from 2003 that know how to run those departments with respect and encouragement as well as operations. They are not equal employers, they have racist management, militant and power trip employees to quitting or if you stand up for yourself you're fired. Regardless of ability to perform the job well or not. They ruined my life by the layoff tactics and lies. Am pursuing arbitration although there are three exceptions to the Work At Will law in Nevada and breach of a verbal employment contract is one of them. Just devastated at it all. I care about customers and quality of work and they no longer do. Thank you.
