Hunk-o-mania is simply dishonest. It was a bait and switch scam. They showed one club on the website and then changed their address and went from a real club to a bar in a bad section of town with one room and folding chairs. Our party of 6 girls paid Hunk-o-mania $728.45 to receive a VIP package for a bachlorette party. We did not receive any parts of what they detailed on their website for the VIP package. We also purchased a cake for an additional $60 that we never recieved. I was very embarrassed that I made the arrangements for this place that we would NEVER have even entered. I felt very bad for the bride to be whom had her night ruined.

Regardless of the change in location, if the product and services had been equal to what we paid for and were shown then we would have been okay. The fact is that we paid for a professional, clean, club with a VIP package. We received a dirty, one room, bar with folding chairs, a plank stage and three unprofessional dancers who doubled as the doorman, manager and security. We did NOT receive any parts of the VIP package or cake.

The doorman at the club Escape (which is where my receipt and tickets said we were going) stated to me that this was a scam. The real club (Escape at New York Ave) was named Hunkmania and the three guys who broke away and started their club called theirs Hunk-o-mania. They used the address and pictures from club Escape to get business and then switched us to the location at Arkansas Avenue which was in a dangerous part of Atlantic City. It was a bait and switch scam, pure and simple. The website has now been changed to include the Arkansas address. However, they are still using pictures that are of Club Escape and not in the changed location bar. I also noticed that they have reduced their pricing to $25 per person. I would still not pay any amount of money to go to this location. It was dangerous and repulsive.

There is a reason that they have “no refunds” written all over their statements because everyone attending wanted a refund and felt this was a scam. These guys continue to take advantage of people who are planning events and relying on the internet for information to make arrangements from distant locations.

This happened to our group as well. Paid over $800 for VIP table, there was not even a table, just chairs lined up. A total disgrace and SCAM! Venue was changed on us as well, to a gay bar, that we would have never entered knowingly. They should be ashamed of themselves, scamming people. Please do not give these people your money ladies, you will be disappointed. Thinking about filing a suit.
