Hired this company on October 18, 2010 to install a concrete type flooring in my kitchen. Flooring is supposed to look like tile. The flooring was not the color I specified, the grout lines were supposed to be a neutral color, but they were full of spots of black dye from the concrete and pooled up acrylic. They ran the concrete up onto my baseboards so shoe mold will not go back, they got black dye all over my newly painted walls and trim and you can still see the old tile through the new flooring. I called the owner and he came out and said he thought it looked great. All of my friends and family were appaled when they saw the floor. The owner now refuses to answer my phone calls. The contractor asked for payment before job was complete, to buy supplies, and like an idiot, I paid him. What a mistake! I have had to hire a contractor to repaint my walls and trim and have talked to another contractor about having this awful messed ripped out. It will cost me a small fortune to correct this god awful mess. Beware! Do not do business with this company. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and come to find out they are not even an accredited business with the BBB.

I know first hand Granicrete pushess profits their entire training seminars. Matter of fact the first 5 pages discuss profits. Its not Granicrete of chattanooga, its the the Granicrete headquarters who doesnt discuss proper coloring, proper prep work or what the shading of the colorr turns once you seal it (it does get darker with MOST sealers not all. Granicrete now only try's to push their countertop system to experienced people due to the fact they have no clue how to train the inexperienced or contractors new to the product. I'd steer clear of anything to do with this company. It's apparent their priority is lining their pockets, thats obvious with their $1000 training classes! try calling Granicrete hq, see what type of shocking response you get.

The problem with Granicrete is with their training, it's extremely lousy! Granicrete markets to people who have zero color theory, or artistic inclination and lie to them saying that their system is so simple, anyone can do it. The expectations on behalf of the installer and homeowner are constantly underachieved. The counter top product sucks, and it scratches very easily. I got suckered into a class and lost a lot of money with these bozo's. When I expressed some valid points and concerns, I was written off by the company and refused technical support. The company is run by an arrogant ### who believes his own B.S.! Good Luck with this crap!

Granicrete of Chattanooga is a decorative concrete supply company. We supply products to independent installers and contractors throughout the Southeast. Granicrete of Chattanooga did not, nor have we ever installed any of the products we sell in any individual's home. An independent installer of the Granicrete System did do a job for this woman and she has been harassing Granicrete of Chattanooga ever since. If you had your house painted by an independent contractor and did not like the job they did, would you blame the Home Depot if they sold him the paint? That is the equivalent of what this woman is doing to us. Kristen, be responsible and remove this false criticism from Granicrete of Chattanooga and place blame where it belongs. With the independent installer and his company.
