Disney Store unethical behaviour

On 11/7/19 I visited the Disney store with intent to make a purchase. I am a person of color, and I felt very violated when not one but three of the store clerks were following me around as if I was to commit a crime. I was with my brother and my boyfriend. There were other patrons in the store and they were treated differently. I ended up buying a $70.00 pull over little mermaid sweater and a reusable bag, totaling $76.18. To me that is a nice amount of money I spent on two items. So I just wanted to make you aware of how I was treated. For now I will not be returning to that Disney store location. Resolution:
if your going to watch people with intent to catch them trying to steal something, then don't pick and choose that might be a little different than others. Treat them all the same. Regardless of their color of their skin. Transaction #4191, store 00737, reg. 003, cashier 276838, cm: Maritza M. Thanking you in advance for the resolution.

Disney Store cast member

On Saturday, 10/12/19, I came to the store to return some ornaments I had purchased that had some chips and a couple broken pieces. I motioned to the girl behind the counter that I was just wanted to exchange what was in my bag for the same characters (that aren't broken). An assistant manager named Meg approached me and said "what's wrong with them?", I explained and she asked me for my receipt. I did not have my receipt but all the ornaments had the tags on them still and they had only recently gotten them in store. I explained I got them the week prior and I just wanted to exchange. She talked to me in a very stern disciplinary tone and asked "who wrapped these?" I told her I didn't know, because I don't know everyone in the store since it's rare I shop there. She shook her head and said "well we don't wrap in plastic, we have paper to wrap in". In the mean time, my two kids were standing looking at the ornaments. I reminded them not to touch but that they can look. They are 6 and 3. She told me she NEEDED to find my receipt, and asked if I had the card I purchased with. Then she turned abs told my kids to not touch the ornaments that they weren't touching. I dig through my wallet and pulled out 4 of the 5 credit cards I could have used and explained my other one is likely the one I used because it's my bank card and I left it in my scrubs. She told me to check all 4 of my cards. I stood there doing this for her to find this receipt that she HAD to have to exchange these ornaments. I couldn't help but notice her distracted but turning around and looking at my kids looking at the ornaments. She was causing me stress that they were doing something wrong but they weren't. Her body language and angst was OBVIOUS that she didn't want them touching the ornaments. I'm she had me wrapped up into her angst and insistence that I needed my receipt and about who wrapped the ornaments in plastic. I answered that several times as she asked me about 5 times during the interaction. She ran to the back to get one that wasn't on the wall. When she returned, I asked about the Halloween event and she said I had to RSVP to attend on Disney's site. I asked if there were any no shows and she said no.(not sure how she knew that since I'd been doing this exchange with her for about 15 min now). After the rude encounter with her, I didn't want to leave Disney with a bad taste so I wandered the store hoping to pick up some magic feelings again. The kids saw the Halloween event starting and wanted to watch. They did not enter the area but stood back by the grown ups. I looked into the event and there were 8 kids I could see. The adult I stood next to said the asst manager told them to block the entrance but she let my kids stand by her so they could see. Then 4 kids about ages 8 squeezes in and stood in the area where the other kids were to watch the show. My stood and watched for a min next to me, then Meg the asst manager pushed in behind us shouting that if you didn't RSVP you could see the show. She grabbed those 4 kids and pushed them out saying they couldn't see it. She then grabbed stickers and put them on the shirts of the kids that did RSVP and announced that note she will know if anyone tries to get in that didn't RSVP. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This is NOT how Disney does things. Clearly some of the people didn't show for the event. Why kick kids out? Why be irritated that kids are looking at things? They are why she has a job at Disney. I don't think this woman has kids. Is she Does, there is no way they will be Disney fans if she is the example. I have never left Disney store or Disney feeling angry. This day I did and it was all because of my interaction with this woman and witnessing what she did to those kids. Absolutely disgusting behavior and NOT kid friendly.

Disney Store merchandise

I called the Disney store about a tag that was left on the shirt I purchased . I was then directed to the corporate line . I called them on 08/17/19. I gave them the date of the purchase and the amount . The date was 03/04/19 and the amount was $95.92. this was purchased at the Texas City store, Texas. The said it would be two business days to get a copy of my receipt . we are now 08/28/19 and I have no information. It was not our fault the security tag was left on this shirt . I am upset and want this issue RESLOVED.

Disney Store disney store

I decided to visit the Disney store located at the Oxford Valley Mall in PA, on July 13, 2019 with my 8 year old daughter. We walked in the store no ones greets us and we proceed to look for the character T-shirts. My daughter was looking forward for the Lion King and Toy Story. She is looking and grabbed the one shirt but it wasnt her size, so I took a look at the shirt and folded it not as perfect but I still folded it and placed it back where it belongs. I walked over to the section behind it and I noticed the one shirt as I am looking for my daughter size I noticed that my 8 year old was also looking on the other section of course in front of me, than I hear the lady at the register telling my 8 year old for every Tshirt she puts back not the way the were she was going to start charging $5, and for each additional $10, $15 $20. I looked over her and said... excuse me? Are you talking to my daughter she states oh yes and repeats herself I then tell her that I clearly heard her although I was highly upset it was clearly she was rude towards my 8 year old not only that she was very sarcastic and un-professional. So I reached out to see if my daughter had did something. She basically was saying if you touch it and unfold them I will start charging you money $5 to start and for each after $10, $15, $20...to me that was not funny at all. I grabbed the T-shirts although they were folded not as perfect and placed where they belong and I try to refold them. The T-shirts were not messy nor out of place I was so confused. I left offended my 8 year old was so sad and very scared at the way she approached my little one in front of other customers. I decided to leave and not spend a penny more nor less at that particular store. She did not have the slightest odesity to walk over to us to apologize I was disgusted with the service and treatment. I felt discriminated. It was out of her place to approach a child in such manner the store is visibly a children store for God sake. I will never visit that one location ever.

Disney Store online chat

I chatted with Chana during the last hour of the online chat about my confusion with order returns. Although I did miss the hidden shipping details, Chana was rude about pointing them out to me in her response to say that an address change due to a later shipment date was not possible. She would keep repeating the same thing when I had asked her other questions, failing to give me clear responses. For example, I had asked her what she meant by "Return information has been provided" as it does not relate to the information on the website, and after repeating the same nonsense, later said that she had been very clear, was thrilled about my order/return, and signed off due to "inactivity" when I had taken a few seconds and it had taken her minutes to respond to some of my messages. Needless to say, she was very rude, impatient, and sarcastic. The worst customer service I have ever received...Chana does not exude the qualities of a Disney cast member.

Disney Store complaining /service

I decided to bring my kids to the local Disney store in Canutillo TX. After looking around for 30 min my son finally decided what he want it. We proceeded to the register. The cashier asked if we were only taking to things and I said yes. As he was scanning he was all looking at my babys stroller like if I was stealing something then he asked if the pillow in my stroller was mine. I asked "what pillow? And he pointed at my sons old backpack (spiderman by the way) I told him "its not a pillow its a backpack" and he just said oh he didnt even apologized for thinking wrong. I didnt say anything else because at this point I was mad and I didnt wang my kids to know he was being rude. Disney store doesnt carry the type of backpack my son has and the reason he had his backpack was because this disney store is located in an outlet mall were you walk outsude and it gets hot so he always carries a water bottle in there. Im going to let my friends and family know how this person made me feel by looking all over my stroller and still asking if what I had was mine.. That was ridiculous.

Disney Store disney store #00436 langhorne pennsylvania

Virginia G her tag said Ginny who drove us nuts while we shopped. However when it was time to pay her and her co-worker were too busy chewing fat to notice us. When she finally came over she was like all set never even said sorry for the wait. Then she packed up my stuff so terrible that I had to redo it once leaving the store. I brought a sleeping beauty drinkware glass and she put it on the bottom of the bag she couldn't even fold the clothes nice. I understand why they have a lot of product in that store no wants to deal them they must have asked us every 5 minutes if we needed help. Almost made me leave the store. The store is a little out dated took me back to 1980s.
I love the Disney store but those were two of the worse workers I have ever met in a Disney store. They have the worsed personality for a Disney store. Didn't even tell us to have a magical day. Staff needs more training in the friendly Disney style. She seemed to have to be right where we were looking. But they really didn't have anything to do but chew the fat.

Disney Store cast members

This evening I took my 15 month old daughter into the disney store at smithhaven mall, lake grove new york, so she can pick out a stuffed animal to bring home. While she was walking she tripped and fell, hitting her face on the corner of a wood colomn where there is an activity table and tv. The welt, and black and blue came instantly right above her eye brow, she was hysterically crying. Now what concerned me the most of all this is not one of your cast members asked if she was ok, and There were two of them at the register two feet away. I always thought Disney was a family place and a reputable name, I was so disappointed that my daughters injury was brushed off without a care for her well being. It makes me think twice about shopping at disney again

Disney Store bags

Hi I was at my local mall and I have a broken leg. I am on a one leg scooter that I have to use my hands for. I went to make a purchase and was asked if I wanted to buy a bag for .99 more I didn't want the bag so turn it down. After declining the bag they then told me they didn't have any bags for me so I would the have to Carrie my items! I have a broken leg and you want me to buy a bag! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I spend a lot of money at the Disney store through out the year. I should not be forced to buy a bags. I understand it's only .99 but I shouldn't be forced into the purchase. And it isn't even a cute bag! I guess I will be taking my Christmas shopping elsewhere.

Disney Store designer doll lottery

On October 20th and October 27th 2018 I attended the Disney store lottery for the right to buy one of 8 designer dolls.

On Oct 20th approximatley 100 people entered to win the right to buy one Jasim doll. One family of 7 people showed up at the last second and won 3 of the 8 rights to buy. Okay maybe they were lucky.

But today Oct 27 th I observed the scam / fraud lottery option to buy up close .

Today approximatley 25 people showed up and entered the lottery by filling out a form. The Dusney employee then took the entries and went into a back room area and returned with a cigar type box. The emploee then shook the box up and barely opened the lid and pulled out the winners names which were folder entry ticket. * Note nobody in my group of three was allowed to FOLD their entry.
Out of 8 winners three were teenagers that were together and two were a Husband and Wife team. From their facial expressions and lack of excitment to being named a winner it was obvious that the fix was in between the employee and these people that were known to her. The other three winners were unknown to each ither and screamed with joy when called.

This is disgusting that Dusney would allow an employee to run a rigged lottery.

PS: I have 30 years as a Police Officer and have been trained to observe body language.

This Freehold Disney lottery is not on the up and up.
So unless you wish to make your Grandchildren or Children cry in a mall avoid Disney lotteries.

Disney Store the selection of the jasmine designer doll

I was just at The Disney Store in Freehold Mall, New Jersey waiting to enter to get a Princess Jasmine doll. They neglected to mix up the names and every name that was pulled were people who entered the line 10 minutes after the deadline to put in a name. Even one family who entered the contest 10 minutes before the drawing won 3 out of the 8 Princess Jasmine Dolls. I find this to be unfair and I very highly going to tell people to avoid any more of the contests due to the unfair advantage that people can miss the 9:30am entrance deadline and win every single doll.

Disney Store nyc times square store.

Dear Disney Store,
I am emailing you to advise you incase you are unaware of a condition outside your NYC times Square store.
On Saturday 9/29/2018, My wife and I were in Times Square wiyh our two young daughters and decided to visit the Disney store since we were in Disney World in August 2018 and loved it. As we were getting close to the store, we came face to face with three young female ladies that we're only wearing panties and body paint on their otherwise exposed breasts that we're soliciting tourists to take photos for money. My family and I turned around and departed the area and never made it into the Disney store.
I realize that what happens on the sidewalk is not up to you, but since this was very close to your store and in this case probably lost you some business, It does involve Disney. I wish NYC did not allow this to happen.
Thank you,
Steven Kenney,

Disney Store lack of bags

I bought some stuff at Disney store. When I paid for my order, I was told that the plastic bags had been ‘retired'. Would I like to buy a canvas type bag for 99 cents? I said no, I'd like a paper bag. The cashier said no, no paper bags. I replied how am I going to carry my stuff out of the store without a bag? She said she didn't know because plastic bags were gone. When I arrived home, I called the store and spoke to the manager who confirmed the lack of plastic bags and said that they were trying to save the 100 Acre Wood! Really? What nonsense! SHAME on Disney for trying to hide behind phony environmentalism and trying to SQUEEZE another 99 cents out of people!

I had the exact same experience at North Park Mall in Dallas, TX. NO BAGS! I guess you are to walk around in the mall with toys and costumes in your hands all the while advertising Disney but not even getting a cheap paper bag.
Therefore, I opted to just go elsewhere and shop. Disney can be environmentally conscience on their own dollar but not mine.

Disney Store wrong charges, bad customer service

On Monday, 8/20, I went to the Disney store located in Paramus and I wanted to purchase $75 worth of merchandise. I asked the cashier about ordering a shirt on line and she tried to help me order it but was unable to get the order to work. When she tried to put the order through my total was about $93. She told me to swipe my card 3 times and it wasn't working. This was a $25 gift card that I received as a gift for my daughters birthday. At this point about 10 minutes had already passed and I told her to just take out the shirt for the on-line order since it seemed to be causing problems and the cashier kept entering my information incorrectly. She asked me for my card and tried to get it to go through and she called another associate over to help her because she was not sure how to put the gift card through. They tried to do it manually but were unsuccessful. The cashier then said to me that she was sorry but she accidentally cancelled my order and needed to ring my purchase over again. She rung up the merchandise again and swiped my gift card and now it was saying declined. The manager Andrea came over and tried to swipe it and she said it was declined and called to verify the balance and said there was no balance on the card. She said I should bring it back to the person that give it to me. I paid the bill with my own credit card at that point. When I left the store I was upset that it took so long and that I thought my friend gave me a gift card with no money on it. I decided to call the number on the back of the gift card to verify that there was no money on it. It did say it had a balance of $0 but when I checked the transaction history of the card they told me it did have $ 25 and it was used at the Disney store a few minutes ago. I went back to the store to talk to the manager and let her know that my gift card was swiped and used when the cashier cancelled the transaction. Andrea was busy on register so she told me she would be right with me as soon as she gets rid of the line, she was the only one on register cause the cashier was on break. I waited 5 min for her to finish and explained to her what had happened and she took the card number and phone # and said she would call them as soon as she could to resolve the problem so I left her my phone # so she could call back. I returned back to the store an hour later around 9pm because I couldn't stay in the mall any longer waiting for the call. Andrea was ringing customers and I waited 5 minutes for her to finish. She said she called the gift card phone # and they told her that she need to call another phone # to get the money put back on the gift card and that they were only available from 9-5pm. She said that she would call them tomorrow when she gets in at 130pm after she does what needed to be done in her store, because she there are things she needs to do when she gets in before she can call. I found this to be kind of rude considering I spent so much time because of the mistakes the cashier made and waited around an hour in the mall to get back a call that never happened even though she said she had already spoken to them. I don't live in Paramus and this was an inconvenience for me. It's obvious when she called that the gift card was swiped in that store and redeemed. She said there was no way for her to see that which I find hard to believe that there is no cancelled receipt of the transaction or an electronic journal that can be looked at. I'm writing this email because it is 3pm the next day and I still haven't received a call. I feel like I did nothing wrong and am being put through all this stress because I wanted to buy my daughter some gifts from your store. If it was obvious that the gift card was swiped and redeemed at your store then why do I have to wait 24 hours to get my money back or at least be given another gift card or a refund for a mistake that was done by your cashier who was obviously new.
I hope I don't have to go back to this store to get my money back since it is 30 min away. Andrea said she had all the information she needed and I shouldn't need to go back to get the money for my gift card. I have never had a bad experience at a Disney store but I feel like at this store they were too busy to take care of me even though it was their mistake and the manager kept saying it wasn't their fault instead of taking responsibility when it was told to her by the Disney representative that the gift card was used that day . Horrible customer service by Andrea the manager !
Had to wait 3 days to get my money back and she didn't even have the decent to call back to ask if money was transfer to me, I had to call 3 days later couse I was still waiting for money and another manager help me, so Andrea didn't even submit my claim .
Hope I get a phone call from a district manager !
Thanks !

Disney Store wrong charges

Disney Store #00870 Woodburn, OR
Transaction Date 8/17/2018 6:19P
Trans: 2947
Cashier 749061

I was on my way from California to Seattle. I passed by Woodburn and purchased 6 items from the store. They are: 1 box of crayons and 5 pieces of children clothes.

When arrived at Seattle, I found I was overcharged of one clothing item and one clothing item did not get charged. I like to believe that it is an oversight but it was unusual as the most expensive item was overcharged.

Listing below. I took pictures of the clothing tags and match to the receipts.
Overcharged Items - boys fleece. purchased one but charged 2 items. over $9.74
Uncharged item - girls t-shirt. [protected]. not charged $4.49
Net overcharged - $5.25

The amount is not big, but somehow I feel it is not an oversight. It'll be good to receive the refund. Please ask your employees to double check. this is not the first time for me, thus, I decide to file a complaint.

Disney Store no bags

I went to the Disney store to buy my granddaughters birthday present when I was checking out I was told they don't have bags anymore but I could buy a if I want one. What a joke. This is not going green this is a scam to make more money. There are plenty of paper recyclable bags that Disney could use if this is really there concern. Shame on Disney for this.

I purchased a few items at the Disney Store. They showed me a bag for 10.00 to put my items in. I told them I do not want to pay 10.00 for a bag I don't want. So I asked the lady at the counter to just put it in a regular bag. They didn't have any. So in order for me to have my items bagged, I would have to pay them 10.00. I left without purchasing the items. Will never go to that store again.
