Buchanan's Siberian Huskies review: Siberian husky puppies 9

I purchased a female Agouti Siberian Husky puppy from Nancy Buchanan a year ago(2-23). I'm a recent musher with several huskies, this female is the best of the pack. Nancy has helped me over the phone several times. One time was when I was severely bitten breaking up a fight between my males. I was ready to give up on mushing but thanks to Nancy talking me through it I'm still a musher. Nancy has 28 years of experience and retiring from breeding. Last fall I requested another female puppy from her. Because of my comments about the quality of her huskies, she did another litter for me. I will be going there to get another female agouti in a few weeks. I question any negative comments about Nancy. I have never met a nicer lady. She didn't have to help me but she has and I'm grateful to her. Mushing isn't for everyone and it's harder than I expected but it is really fun being behind a team of huskies!

Me and my wife have purchased 5 Siberian huskies from Nancy over the past 7 years. Over this time we have met a lot of breeders and other Husky owners and the fact is, no one is as knowledgeable as Nancy when it comes to this breed. She loves her dogs like family as did her husband Ron. By no stretch of the imagination could we have done as well with our dogs if it wasn’t for her help, guidance and kindness. Case in point, we purchased a female from Nancy that had a birth defect, a small cataract in the eye. We took her to the vet and it was ruled a defect and not congenital (passed down genetically) but we contacted Nancy just to let her know. She felt so bad that she had us come and pick up a different female as Nancy knew my wife was eyeing a different dog. She did NOT have to do this contractually but she did free of charge and she let us keep the pup that had the cataract also. The cataract has since shrank down and causes her no issues at all, she is 4 years old now. The other thing I’d like to add is that we knew that Nancy had a specific dog color she wanted and when we got a puppy that was just what she wanted, we gifted the pup to her. We don’t mess around when it comes to where our dogs get homed. I turn people down all the time. That said, we were more than comfortable sending a puppy to Nancy as we know the love that dog is going to get. All that said, if you are looking to get a Siberian Husky this is the place to go. You don’t just get a dog, this is no mill. You get educated and prepared for the breed. This breed is not for everyone and in some instances and some places(apartments, HOA’s) you can’t even have a Husky. So do your own research first but there is no buyer beware necessary when it comes to purchasing a puppy here. Nancy is a diamond in the rough in the world of Husky breeders.

I got a puppy from Nancy, and all I can say is, my husky is my best friend and he is the healthiest dog and I could not be any happier with our purchase. Beautiful dogs, and I’ve been to her home as well, every dog was loved and cared for.

I bought a husky puppy from this breeder and he is doing fine. We had no problems with worms and little diarrhea. He is a very fast learner and was potty trained within a week or two. He does well with other dogs and likes to play.

I purchased a pup from Nancy a year ago, and he is doing amazing. Best dog I have ever had. Thank you Nancy.

I'd personally like to say I purchased a pup from Nancy. She's amazing and does a great job with her babies. I looked the kennel over myself and the dogs she has are more then in great conditions. Thank you Nancy for our baby and I'm sorry one person tried to ruin your reputation. You're great, so are your dogs.

Hello My name is Nancy Buchanan and I would like to respond to Kelly Wright's accusations. She did buy a puppy from me and she said she didn't know her way around so I met her in Houghton Lake, So she has never seen my kennels or the way my animals are taken care of. I sell AKC registered puppies so I am inspected by them yearly. She met the pup she named Tyson and said she loved him and took him home. The next day she called me saying that she couldn't keep him because her landlord said she could not have a dog so she wanted me to buy the pup back I told her I would take the pup back but I would not refund her money because she didn't check with the landlord first. Then a few days later I had a very nasty message on my machine from her boyfriend.. I never told her that the pups were wormed by the vet because I worm them myself at 2 weeks, 4, 6, 8, 10 weeks and that he wasn't finished to have her vet check him when she took the pup for his second puppy shot. I sent home about 8 pounds of food to mix with what she was going to feed him so he didn't get diarrhea. I also told her not to give him treats and such for a while cause he wasn't used to them that he could get an upset stomach or diarrhea and yes I told her he could also get diarrhea from the change of water, I tell every one that. They can even get it from stress. You claimed you spent $100. at the vet and 5 meds to give him. I don't mean to be rude but that was cheep cause the office call and puppy shot and the meds at my vet would have been a lot more then that. I return all calls and emails, and I have all of Kelly's to prove it. I'm not breeding to get rich (because it takes a lot more money breeding sound and healthy pups then what you get back) I care for all my pups I place in new homes and put 8 weeks of care and love into them. I ask every one to keep me posted of anything and everything good or bad and I have a lot of people that keep me update and send me pics so I can watch them grow too. Kelly was just mad because I would not return her money because of her own fault and mistake. I have been breeding for 23 years and do everything I can to have people pleased with their pups. My pups have awesome temperaments, personalities and are generically sound. I keep pups from my litters to continue their blood lines and all are welcome to come see them and their parents, grandparents and even great grandparents.
