Avinol PM advertised free trial during which it was possible to get all money back with 100% guarantee. I canceled my trial only after a week of starting it with one more week of spare room left but despite that I was ignored for next 10 days and after they’ve answered me trial was already over and I had to pay.
This has been the biggest waste of time, way over priced and return is a pain, if you are lucky you may get your automatically charged $ back :-(
Never again...
I want to cancel all things pertaining to this product
I received the first pkg of Avinol PM but was told by my dr. that I could not take it. I have written to them twice to cancel the order but no one responds to me. I ordered the Avinol PM about 3 to 4 weeks ago but have had no luck contacting them. I would just like to send the pkg back.
I did this 15 day trial offer for Avinol PM extra strength for $5.95 on 7-28-22. When I checked my bank acct I was charged the $5.95 plus $1.95 for insurance? (This is Over the counter medication) If you do not want it you have to return the unused portion at your expense even if you cancel your account or will be charged full price. SCAM!
I ordered the "free" sample for my husband but it didn't work. I then got another shipment in the mail and I returned it to the sender. I was still charged for the first shipment and now have another charge on my credit card. I didn't get a second shipment. I have contacted the company but have not received any response and the charges are still on my credit card. I disputed the charge on the card so we'll see if I get any help there!
I got caught by this scam. Should have known better. I got charged the $79.95 when they sent the full months supply instead of the sample I ordered. I called the phone no. that was on my credit card statement. They girl I talked to had a barely understandable oriental accent and tried to talk me into reduced prices for a monthly delivery I said it was a scam several times and was informing my credit card co. telling them not to allow any more charges by Sleep Health (Avinol). She agreed to cancel the order I didn't order. Will see if it's on my next credit card statement. These people should be prosecuted.
Complete scam..they add stuff you never ordered. After protesting, now they want me to return my small trial pkg.too…even though they collected postage before they sent it, now they want unused capsules returned at my expense. They did not help me sleep through the night or fall asleep. They only succeeded in scamming a lot of people. When you call them, you get passed from person to person…all of them talking undescernable…very fast. When you are done you still have no idea what was said.BEWARE!
Thanks, I saw this AFTER I ordered the FREE TRAIL. I made screen prints of the order and did not see anything about RECURRING DEBITS OF $79.98 (AMAZON SELLS THE EXACT SAME PRODUCT FOR $44.99 I called their toll free number printed on my credit card statement [protected] and talked to Jonalyn who identified herself as a Customer Service Representative, she cancelled my order and send my email a Confirmation of Cancellation. This is the ONLY way to cancel so I suggest you call the number. Also, without providing the Customers the Recurring Credit Card withdrawal information and them BOLDING AND HIGHLIGHTING ' FREE TRAIL OFFER' for this Product, it appears to me they are Misleading their Customers. I put them on notice that I am filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commissioner regarding their Misleading Sales Practices, it appears they are aiming their Sales to the Elderly whom tend NOT to File Complaints.
Note:
The Federal Trade Commission works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices. They also provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid scams and fraud.
I suggest if you were NOT aware of the Recurring Credit Card withdrawals of $79.99 which is $30 dollars a month GREATER than the Product Cost, that you all go online and provide this information to the FTC as well. I put this Company on Notice with Jonalyn this morning at 8:35 this morning and asked she put her Compliance Dept on Notice. What she does or does not with this information is totally upon her. Thanks
Complete scam...avoid at all cost.
Please don't send again .Cancel the order Thank you
Stoping credit card Merry Christmas Let me know if i should send this back
I can't take them .It does not work for me . I fall asleep but i wake up at two in
morning
i sent trial offer now they sent more i didn't order it i checked a box that said trail one time. now they have billed me for 84.90 this is bull
I AM ANOTHER SENIOR WHO WAS GYPED BECAUSE OF ORDERING A FREE 30 DAY SUPPLY AND MEANWHILE GOING ON A SCHEDULED TRIP. WHEN I FINALLY CHECKED MY DEBIT CARD BALANCE THERE WERE SEVERAL CHARGES AMOUNTING TO OVER THREE HUNDRED. luckily SOME UNKNOWN ANGEL RETURNEDE THE THIRD BOX AND A CREDIT WAS ON MY CARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $79.95. Will do paperwork with my bank and hope a class action is started soon. Margaret Collette
This is nothing but a scam, you are sent a 40 days supply and that is to take an additional amount of money from your account 79.95. The terms and conditions for the additional charge and are not clear. Something needs to be done about this product and company, first it does not work and secondly it is over priced. This is bull manure!
I ordered the free trial and cancelledany further shipments but they charged my card $79.95 and sent it anyway.
This product can be purchased under other names at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc. for under $10.00. So why would anyone want to pay over $69.00 more than necessary.
I have contacted them twice with no results.
I really thought this was a good deal. I called them today and was told that I was going to be billed another $80.
after 2 weeks. Thankfully I called them. I printed all information I received and their ad and found nothing about being auto shipped and charged $80. per month. I called and cancelled and got quite a hastle, but was told that my acct. was cancelled. IT IS A RIP OFF, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. Their free trial for only $4.95 shipping is a total rip off.
DON'T BUY INTO THEIR SCHEME.
I NEVER TRIED THE PILLS, AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO RETURN THEM AT MY EXPENSE, . I TOLD THE GIRL THAT I WOULDN'T SEND THEM BACK AND IF I WAS CHARGED AGAIN, I WOULD SUE THEM FOR FALSE ADVERTISING. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO LOWER THE PRICE AND GIVE ME MORE TIME, SHE SUCOMED TO MY REQUEST AND CANCELLED THE SUBSCRIPTION, AGAIN, DON'T ATTEMPT TO FALL INTO THEIR GAME, ...
I am really disappointed on there customer service. Very rude. More or less they are saying to bad so sad for you.
It has been a nightmare. Product didn't work. I was charged $79.95. went to the bank to dispute the charge. Bank temporary refunded the money. Now the company is saying I didn't return the product to them. So my bank is going to take the money back out of my account. SCAM. I sent the product back on 01/07/2019.
I tried the "Free Sample" scam on another product that was totally different than Avinol PM but none the less used the same tactics. After the "Free Sample" (free except for the $7.95 in S&H fees) arrived I started taking the product. Soon after taking a few pills they began making me nauseous accompanied by muscle aches throughout my body. So, I called the "800" number to cancel any further deliveries.
The "phone jockey" who answered my call was someone who could barely speak. Where they find these guys I can only guess; perhaps a homeless shelter? No offense to homeless people. Most are there through no fault of their own. Back to the "phone jockey".
The "phone jockey" began reciting his printed answer on how "I owed them $89.95" and why I "had to pay BEFORE I could be released from what I agreed to". Upon hearing this [censored] I blasted back with what I was going to do IF they charged me anything more. I told them I was going to notify the FCC, ICC, FTC, BBB, and any other "alphabet agency" I could think of. And wow! Did that "phone jockey" do a 180. But the ONLY reason he did a 180 was that I went on the offensive and wouldn't take his [censored]. That's the way you have to treat these [censored], Nothing else works.
WARNING! This is a ripoff. I tried calling and was put off till I was charged 59.99 OUCH. finally got to talk to someone and was told it was to late to send the unused back and be refunded. Very rude customer service.
Definitely a scam! They got me today but I called and told them I wanted to cancel my subscription just curious now if it will actually be billed to my credit card still...
Avinol does the same (free trial scam, auto renewal, difficult return/refund policy) as hundreds of other mail order scammers. They know they can get away with deceptive business practices without legal consequence. There will always be scammers and there will always be suckers!
Note, there are hundreds of other sleep aids with the same combination of herbal ingredients. Here is what I bought for 5 bucks which is 60 ct, 1 cap per dose:
Valerian root 100mg
Chamomile 50mg
Hops 50mg
Lemon balm 50mg
L-theanine 25mg
Passion flower 25mg
5-HTP 5mg
Melatonin 5mg
want order cancelled did not order more did not even try product 4.95 free trial
now I got a bill for 84.90 did not order this just another way to rip off senior citizens
Exactly the same situation here. This is a scam - charged $84.90 for a 30 day supply that I did not order. I want my money back.
all it says is order#61.42944.269 order datemay 7 i had ordered a pack about 2 mo.ago but how many times is this to happen
I was also a victim...THIS IS A SCAM! MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY ALERTED ME AND STOPPED THE CHARGES. NOW THEY ARE BLOCKED FOREVER...DO NOT FALL FOR IT! The tried to charge 79.95 UNAUTHORIZED on my credit card.

SKU AVL-ESBX-AS cost $84.90..I received one box as a PROMO for which I had to pay postage. Then this new box came. My VISA was charged $84.90 without authorization. The co did not provide an address so how can I send it back. I will call VISA for them to cancel charge.
CROOKS, CROOKS, CROOKS, CROOKS
Unfortunately, I too, ordered the "free" trial for 4.95 only to have my doctor tell me not to take the supplement. I never saw that they would be charging for the product or enroll me in automatic shipping. I would never have sent for the supplement if I had known the price for the product. On the package it said to check with your doctor before taking, which I did and he said no. I called the company when I found out they had charged my credit card for two bottles, they said they would send me a check when they received the returned product. I am shipping it UPS so I will have proof of their receipt. Also my credit card company has a dispute of charges on my record if they do not return me money. Very dishonest company.
Like many others, I ordered the trial size of this supplement, which didn't work, and was later billed $84 for a month's worth, which I did not order nor expect. The return on the envelope is Response Commerce in Dana Beach, Fla. I will send this back and expect a refund. I'll keep you posted.
Good luck. They wouldn't verify that they received the product back. So my bank is going to take the money back out of my account
I ordered a "free"trial of avenol and was charged $79.99 I had no intentiojn in continuing this product which doesn't seem to work anyway this product is nothing but a scam
Thanks to these reviews I did some checking on this product as well as a come to find out there is a charge of the 7995 if you do not cancel this product within 15 days after receiving which I myself did not see when I was ordering so I proceeded to call the company and the lady I was talking to was very rude and I proceeded to tell her I did not what does product and I do not want my credit card charged a monthly supply she said I need to return the product by a certain date and I have to pay for the shipping if it is not returned by the state I will be charged the 7995 I will be sending this product back and also will be contacting my credit card company to let them know of this charges go through they are to be declined so I would greatly about is I’m not ordering this product
deceptive advertising. I now have 3 unopened boxes of this stuff and got charged 84.90. Never saw the 4.99 charge. I called to get it cancelled and still got a box the next month with a charge to my credit card.
I have to say the Avinol PM works for me. I bought a bottle because I read the fine print on the website and realized the greater likelihood is they will take advantage of forcing the taking of bottles. BTW the price is inflated significantly on their website and available for much less elsewhere.
I am sorry but we have all seen how these free trial offers go so anyone biting on "free" sets themselves up and should be angry at themselves.
I'm another burn victim, but I cancelled my credit card while the $84.90 charge was still "pending." The seller, Response Commerce, in Dania Beach, Florida, has no online presence (their web site is "undergoing revision"), and I could not find a phone number for them. I have mailed them a postcard requesting cancellation and a refund, filed a complaint with the BBB, and sent a cancellation request through Dunn & Bradstreet. The product, BTW, did absolutely nothing for me.
A total scam.
Do not purchase this [censored] product.
They will charge you a ridiculous amount for useless garbage!
This company did fast advertisement a free opportunity for a sleep product. What they intentionally did not stipulate is the full charges. I like many others saw this advertisement and spoke with the sales person who took my information at the beginning of June 2018. I did ask about any other charges or requirements and was not informed of any by the customer service agent. I should have reviewed the information now online about the charges to your credit card before I purchased the free sample. I have been charged $84.30 to my credit card for a product that did not work for me. I did not order any additional pills but they were sent in the mail. I called and cancelled this fraudulent service and I called my credit card to stop payment effective 6/28/18. I have also posted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I'll remember in the future "NOTHING IS FREE"!
I too was victimized. I was charged 79.99 for the 4.95 trial. I was told that if I tried it I would only be charged 49.99 but if it was unopened I could get a refund if I sent it back to them. I asked "so you really did not want me to try the product" I got no response. I have had sleeping problems all of my life and thought this would really be worth trying but this company is a scam so I think the product is too. Yes I will file a complaint!
The hook/bait with this company is how they align themselves with "Shark Tank". My husband who has real sleep issues bought into the hype and thought this could be an answer for him, after all, if Shark Tank endorses it must be a great product. He viewed and ordered this on his iPad. { the reason I mention this is because the iPad displays pages differently then the PC} from the comments on the Internet the scam relies on no one noticing the CON in tiny print at the end of the ad. The "Avinol PM Extra Strength Trial" offer: Price $0.00, Shipping Charge $4.95, then surprise we got a second charge for Shipping protection $1.95. I had no idea until today that our credit card would be charged $79.95. The two charges for $4.95 and $1.95 did not say "reoccurring". I had called customer service at Advanced Nutraceutials about the unauthorized charge of $1.95 and was told it would be credited (2 requests & calls later). Well, my credit card was canceled because of the unauthorized charge of $79.95 that just hit the account. Does anyone believe that people could afford or would agree to $959.40 for a sleep aid that does not work? That would be a fee of $79.95x12. BTW, this company has other "Dietary Supplement" offers for a "Risk Free Trial". Report this scam and fraud! Help other people avoid falling victim to this fraud. I plan to report this today.
