Arizona Attorney General / computer service

1 United States Review updated:

We are constantly bombarded by these people, using different phone numbers, who say they want to talk to us about our computer. They say that our computer is going to crash and they want access to our bank account so they can get payment for a year of protection. They called us twice last night (February 10, 2019) at 10:34 p.m. and 10:57 p.m. The number that they used last night was a British Columbia number: [protected]. This is terribly annoying because previously they've been during the day and now their tactics have changed to evening. When we told them we were going to contact the Attorney General it didn't even phase them. It's like they think they're above any kind of laws. Please help us. Thank you.

There is nothing the Arizona AG's office can do. These people are motly in Nigeria, India and Pakistan. They can use voip numbers to make it seem like they are anywhere in the world. They are beyond the reach of Arizona AG's office. All you can do, when you get these calls, is tell them you know they are scammers and hang up.

At first glance it looks like the Arizona attorney general is trying to scam you. A better headline would suffice.
