Akam Management NYC review: Management performance

This company demonstrates no level of professionalism whatsoever. They do not guide the Board as to what is appropriate management of a building in excess of 75 units. They are pleased to represent Boards that are ineffective and do a poor job, so that it requires little effort from Akam and nothing of value is expected of them. They manage NY Corporations with no knowledge of Robert's Rules and fail to meet the minimum of any semblance of proper procedure and so fail to encourage boards to do so. They hire low level employees to act as property managers when they have little or no knowledge of how to run a building. And then the so called property manager refers matters to be handled by an even lower level clerk. They cannot be bothered duly notifying residents/owners with notice by mail. They post important notices at the doorman's station as if it were a bulletin board. Their management skills are limited to billing and collecting the monthly fees from residents.
