I cancelled my policy before the next billing and they claim there is no refund. They claim I am paying from the middle of the cycle and they will not refund my last month's payment which I tried to cancel but they claimed it was too late to cancel it. I guess this company needs my $18.00 in order to meet their high goals of corruption.

Combined Insurance - Fraud and scam

Combined Insurance is not the way to go if you want to work in the professional insurance business. They tell you they pay for everything as an employee for the company, this is not the case. You pay back the license fee with your first paycheck and monthly you pay for your bond. They will train you to sell policies as long as you can memorize and regurgitate, there is no thought process here.

As for the selling door-to-door, they tell you there is a partial salary and they will give you as much as you need, but if you are not selling this is not the case. This company is mostly door-to-door sales and the bad thing about it is no one is home during the day except people who can't afford their own bills let alone buy insurance.

This is a waste of time and your own personal money, you pay for your gas, food, etc while you are out of town. When you go out of town on business to have what is called an Ardmore, all people from the region gather to sell policies in a specific city; you have to drive there, pay for all your food, nothing is provided but the hotel room and you are there from Sunday to Saturday night. This is not a way to begin a position by spending a lot of money during a training period where you are not selling a lot. Also for those people who have a professional stature about them this is not the company to work for.

There is also not a $500.00 a week pay for the first two weeks of training either, the first week you have not yet received a license and can't work sometimes it takes longer them a week for the state to issue the license and until then you have no income coming in. It is also the division's responsibility to assign areas for agents to go.

In the beginning you will receive all the leftovers and will drive around all day and not find anyone at home, you pay your gas and make no money. The best assignments are given to the people selling, not to those who are training and need to learn. It is very hard to learn when no one is home all day.

The work days begin with a meeting, not in a office so you spend money eating out. They begin between 8:00 and 9:00 and and will last for a couple of hours, then you go to work; people are home in the evenings so you will be working 12 or more hours each day even though they say they don't what you out after dark, it is still required.

If you want to be in the professional insurance business do not work for Combined, the clientel is lower income, and you will have no life outside of work because of the hours you will have to put in to make money, especially Saturday it is sometimes mandatory, but they have you work M-F and give you the option for Saturday. It would be better to get one day off during the week and always work Saturday because people are home.

I hope this has helped someone.

Funny, I worked for Combined a long, long time ago. Sounds like the company has not improved or adjusted at all. To any young people who read this, unless you are truly blessed with the gift of gab, like Clinton, Obama, or Ronald Reagan, do not waste your time on Combined. You must be money AND people oriented, and you must like constant pressure. The company cares nothing about you, and they will force you to use your own resources. You would do much better to join the military, or even AmeriCorps. Combined is full of angry managers and trainers, people who are disappointed with their own lives.

Combined Insurance is a waste of money... like car insurance take your money but don't want to pay out. They ask for to much before of your claim trying not to pay. Good luck I cancel my policy, I advise to check around first.

I love these comments! The less agents, the more money for me. I worked for AFLAC for two years and have made five times more money with Combined in 10 weeks than I did with AFLAC in 2 years. I have a $500, 000 life insurance policy that costs me around $30 a month. They pay for all of my hotels and send me out of town about once a month to sell insurance. They give me fifty docket sales leads, which is something I never got at AFLAC. I am averaging about [protected] a week with combined before taxes. Thank you for not working for Combined, but if you do want to work, I can get you an interview. I need to get ten agents by the end of the year. For each one I get from $250-$1000 and a raffle ticket for a 2018 BMW this February. Respond to this comment with your e-mail and phone number.

I had an appointment for a job today with Combined Insurance today. All I did was ride around with the so called head of the area and talk to people who either lapsed in their so called policies or already had a policy. The guy who I rode around with drove a beat up old Pontiac and worn out clothes. He embarassed a few of the policy holders who lapsed into buying new insurance. I think that Combined Insurance is a scam. I met him at the office which seemed to be a fly-by-night office. I was there at 10 am and no one was at the office. What kind of company is this?

Anyone on here who is bad mouthing is just their excuse because they are cannot comprehend that you cannot make free money in this business, or any business for that matter. You must actually work in order to get paid. If your not into working you should go to a job where you can hide behind other workers and not have to show your real worth. Anyone making up excuses against the company are fraud and are mad that their true worth has come out in the open after doing this job. At the end of the day they have nobody else to blame but themselves. The managers are very kind and helpful. The higher ups are very classy and top shelf. They help with your sales unbelievable amounts. Ive even seen them go above and beyond to help people who do not help themselves. The cheers in the morning are a wonderful idea and everyone in the company is happy and motivating with Pma..You people are seriously stupid because Pma is the secret to success not just in combined but in life..Try it.. This is a opportunity of a lifetime, but is only made for strong individuals with drive and passion to succeed. The benefits, bonus, 4o1k, and stock programs are all outstanding. Yhe products are highly rated and competitive. They pay for training, hotels, meals. Yes you pay for your license, but they send you to school for free. Its an awesome deal. They spend 4k on each person they send to school. The least you could do it pay for your license. Then at school they give you money for gas and food. Bosses always pay for lunch, and are very respectful. First 13 of work you are guaranteed 500 a week, as long as you are writing business and the managers help you get to where you should be. First 6 months is demanding but if you make it, hours get better and so does the pay :) You also get reimbursed for lunch and gas and tolls in your taxes... normal jobs do not!. SO anyone who has something bad to say about Combined, either did not work, had a bad attitude, didn't believe in what they do, or was just pure lazy. Have a great day! :)

I have an interview with Combined Insurance in a day from now and I'm kinda freaked out. I see so many bad things written about them, but theres the occasional good comment about them too. I know I get sent to Calgary for 2 weeks of training and they said they would pay for everything including air fare, hotel, food and extra expenses PLUS they said I would get paid 500 a week for those two weeks but... now I'm a little bit nervous seeing so many people say that the company didnt hold to their words... I guess I'll just go to the interview and see for myself
