This complain goes to Clientele, Premium deduction for policy No. [protected] My complain is about the debit order that went off from my bank account in June 2021. I was shopping at Phumulani Mall and was approached by a lady wearing the Clientele T shirt and she started by introducing herself that she is a consultant from Clientele and there is this insurance program on offer called Covid 19 funeral cover and a premium of R264 will be deducted from my account as a monthly premium and I was interested because Covid 19

as we all understand that Covid 19 is a pandemic that was troubling.

Then I explained to this lady that I am interested but I can not afford the R264 deduction on my account monthly as I am a Municipality worker and during that time in 2021 June the municipality was workers was on strike and we where not getting paid yet for about 3 month to be precise however I explained to her clearly that I can afford the R150 monthly deduction on my current situation.

And the lady said is fine and convinced me to take this funeral cover because it is the good offer you can get more specially when the Covid 19 is still around

There after called her supervisor and asked for my bank card and they swiped the card on the speed point. And to my surprise an amount of R264 went off my account and I feel that was taken an advantage of. And when I reported this matter to clientele complains department was told that they cannot help me with this query I can take it up somewhere if I am not satisfied.

And I feel that my rights where taken for granted and they disregarded the way complain and all they are interested in is to make sure that they get there hands to my money and do not care what happens afterwards because I told them that I was not earning a salary at that time and they also contributed to my misery and my kids suffered because I was unable to buy bread for them and this is wrong knowing that your money was deducted or over charged wrongly. I am totaly disgusted by this kinf of treatment.
