I have visited this church several times, and was disappointed each time. The people I came into contact with were snobby and not at all friendly (except for the greeter, but it is his or her job to be nice). One time I came in just as the service was starting and could not find a seat. There were empty seats, but whenever I asked the person next to the empty seat if I could sit there, I was told "sorry I'm saving this seat for someone." (The "someones" never showed up). I finally asked an usher to find me a seat. He found an empty seat and asked the lady "is this seat taken?" She rolled her eyes and said nothing. She did not speak to me or greet me during the part of the service where people shake hands and say hello. Other times when I visited, I arrived early and sat there by myself, no one around me even acknowledged me or asked if I was a guest or needed help. This is a huge church and filled with a majority of wealthy people, guess I'm beneath them because I am middle class! The pastor drives a Jaguar and drives up in front of the church after the service to say goodbye, and of course show off his ride. He wears tons of gold jewelry.
I did not feel like a welcomed guest at this church. Also this is a charismatic church so if you do not like LOUD music and people dancing in the aisles, waving hands, or people babbling in tongues, go elsewhere. One time I got freaked out because the lady next to me started waving her hands in the air and babbling "ba ba be be bo bo" over and over.

These comments are the exact opposite of what I experience at Church
In the Son. Pastor Alex is a such a warm and loving man of God. He loves people and welcomes visitors. He often shares how he prays for new members and urge members to invite others to church. He dresses very casually and does not flaunt jewelry. Give it another try and show yourself friendly to others. They need your kindness and prayers. Please do not make fun of the Holy Spirit. Ask someone on the pastoral team for more information on speaking in tongues. It is such a lovely gift that our Lord will lavish upon us. God bless you. He loves you so much.

This is a reply to a snobby people

This person is lying. I've been a member of this church for years. The pastor does not wear tons of jewelry and he does not drive his flashy car in front of church to show off. He is not a show off. Why don't you tell us the truth and what really happened to you. If you got offended, I got it. Get over it. Don't spread blatant lies. I am not longer a member of this church, but I know the pastor well enough, and he is not anything like this person says he is.

The one that wrote this a lier.. I really don't like any church and any kind of religion, (the last time I seat on a church was like 5 years ago). But yesterday I visited this church, and being honest, I like what I saw... Yes, there is a lot of technology, a really good smell in the air, EVERYTHING looks so clean, good music, good musicians and singers, also have a beautiful place for kids while you are at church. I DIDN'T see any kind of jewelry. I didn't see the pastor reading every minutes the bible (that's why I liked it). Okay, I saw some guys wearing earphone (like security), but everything looks really fine.
Other important thing I saw, they only asked for the offering only one time (in other churches I saw it asking for offering up to 3 times) and they use an envelop to put it (other ask for cash).
As I said before... I DON'T LIKE CHURCHS OR RELIGIONS, but I think I will go back this next Sunday to this church, because it looks fine.

Never have I heard (in my opinion) such bald faced lies about a Church. The congregation is far from rich, the Pastor never wears a lot of jewelry, everyone I've met from day one is friendly. I don't know what this persons agenda is but it's I can't believe it's legit. The easy way to see that this persons comment are completely false and rooted in lies is to just come out and see for yourself. I say that with the utmost confidence.

P.S. Pastor Alex is completely approachable. He doesn't have security, or armor bearers holding people back (even though it's a large Church). Anyone can walk up to him just like anyone else at the Church, but most likely he'll walk up to you and talk before you approach him.

I think this is nonsense article. Pastor Alex who is from Baltimore loves the people. Buts used cars as far as that goes and I think does not thane a salary. After the device he walks through the lobby and shakes hands greeting everyone. Great church. Nice people who care about others.

I assumed you were speaking about a different church and pastor. God is watching you stop making lies...
