I'm the pastor at the Full Gospel Church of God in Rustenburg and I would like to submit a complaint about a company that does Canon rentals here in South Africa. This is not the way we like to go about our business as a church, but the company 'renting' the machine to us leases us a Canon machine a very old model for R2700 pm. This machine was renewed 3 years ago after it was leased 5 years before. The model number is: NZJ 04926.
We had so many problems with the said machine that it became unethical for this company to still draw monthly premiums, but they still have drawn from us every month. We've warned them that if they do not fix their problem we will have to stop the debit orders which we did because we were still in this printing dilemma. No one wants to pay for something that's not working optimally. I and the Church Managing Board feels this company smeared on us this very bad machine and we feel it's not right for us as Church and a Public Benefits Organization to use other people's money for such a very bad machine.
Canon has sent technicians with no avail. in January 2019 they wanted to sign a new renting contract with us for a newer machine, but we refused due to the cost of their product.

They want to keep us to the 'contract' that was signed by the former pastor that had no date as well as start meter reading. Now they once again threatened us with another 'signed contract' with the leasing company and said a service department contract is a different contract. We're so disgusted with the service provider so we also reported the case to the Ombudsman.

I would like to send you our email communication as well as the contract they had with the church. Unfortunately, these emails won't be attached to this report because your website doesn't allow for it. They didn't perform from their side so why should we perform from our side. In 2018 there were 3 months we didn't receive a cartridge and as a result, we couldn't even print. They said I gave the wrong model number, but every month the meter reading printout from the machine I've emailed which had the correct model nr.

Please assist us in this matter and speak to the company. This service provider causes Canon a very bad name with many.
