California Franchise Tax Board review: Double-billed

Hello,

This is Michael Doerr speaking. My complaint is that I was double-billed for the 2022 tax bill. I paid for the tax bill of $700 which was $699 rounded up, using the ACI payments inc system. This happened in 3/30/2023. I called the Franchise Tax Board and asked if my payment was acknowledged. They said yes and that there should be no reason to expect to be double-billed. Come April 15th, I was billed $699 which just to remind you was paid on 3/30/2023. This should not have happened. I have the screenshot that shows that I have paid the tax bill ahead of time.
