Caliber Homes house

We also purchased a home from Caliber. I agree with all the comments above that they are incompetent. We had many delays that could easily have been avoided. Workmanship in the house was also poor, especially the electrical. After paying for all kinds of upgrades, they still did an extremely poor job. We had to beg them to come back to correct things. A few months after moving in, our furnace stopped working. It was December and it was freezing. I literally had to beg them to come to have a look at it. They wanted to take no responsibility for the furnace, but grudgingly fixed it.

When buying a multimillion dollar home there is an expectation on the part of the customer that they get the product that they purchased. We had so many issues, and we felt like we always had to beg them to come back.

If you're considering buying a Caliber home, I would suggest DO NOT. Their homes may look nice, but you will be very sorry with their aftercare. We, like many other reviewers are shocked at the poor workmanship. We had to have so many things redone, from poor taping and drywalling, to closet doors not aligning, to electrical issues.

Caliber Homes horrible builder stay away

i am unhappy customer i bough a home 1million 300 paid to caliber homes, we are heart broken with these builder,
they never finished the work on time, house was mess and dirty and filthy we got the key, according them this is normal they close the house soon or the next day trade people come and start continues working in our house make more mess and construction dirt. when you call them to clean they never answer the phone or return you messages, very very bad customer services, they are good until you close (deal) your house . caliber is building another project in kleinburg if you ask each and every one at woodbridge location every one has a story to tell . and there bad experience with the builder. There contract is one sided contract they never let you take there contract to your lawyer .

The worst builder ever since, do not go near them or you will regret. build with bad quality, horrible workmanship, cut corners

Caliber Homes Many issues/deficiencies

We are terribly disappointed with the builder of our new house, Caliber Homes. Our house is on Hailsham Court in Woodbridge. Apparently, this is the largest subdivision that this builder has done to date and it is quite obvious they bit off way more they could chew. The sales process was fine but things went downhill after that. The process with the upgrade selections was unprofessional and disorganized. We had to chase down the girls for pricing that we found later to be inaccurate. Many of the items that we thought we were getting were not actually the case. The PDI appointment was ridiculous as we only had a short time to review the house from top to bottom; in fact, our house wasn't even finished as we were doing our PDI and being told to sign the paperwork. We were told that any items not included on the PDI can go onto the 30 day Tarion warranty form. Putting trust in what we were told during the PDI was a big mistake because it has now come to bite us in the ### -- we were miss-lead and deceived. The Service Department is a joke. There has been numerous service workers come and go. We’d be lucky if we had a service appointment longer than an hour before they'd be called off to another house. It took a ridiculous period of time to have basic things completed from our list of deficiencies. For some time now, there has been one service person for the entire sub-division, despite the long list of deficiencies that people have. There is always a sense that we are ‘begging’ for service which is appalling. The on-site service manager is non-responsive to e-mails and hard to reach. When you do get in touch with her, you get a run-around and when the service finally does occur, it is poorly done and/or not completed resulting in many follow-up appointments. She lacks serious customer service skills and doesn’t seem to care about the concerns we’ve expressed. This is especially an issue since she is the only site person available for us to deal with so we have no choice, despite complaints. We’ve only seen real action when threatening to go into conciliation with Tarion. By threatening this action, we actually got some results. Is that what it takes to get stuff done with this builder? In speaking with our neighbours and other folks in the subdivision, it is obvious that the majority feel the same way. Those who don't feel the same have either had to yell at the top of their lungs to get results or have a reason to turn a blind eye to the poor service and obvious site issues. We had the impression, way back in the beginning of this painstaking process, that the owner and his management team are good people that care about its home owners. This hasn’t appeared to be the case as they’ve been absent through this entire process despite our complaints and comments about poor service. At this point, it simply looks like they have buried their heads in the sand despite the fact that their reputation continues to be seriously damaged by all of the issues. At minimum, we would have expected the management team to step up and take responsibility of the poor service – to take control over the site issues and clean them up. Communication and involvement would have been good. But, unfortunately for us and all other home owners of Hailsham Court, good is not the reality in this subdivision.

Obsolutely true, this is exactly the real Caliber homes. Do not fall to his trap. if you do not buy home from them then you are safe

Caliber Homes Unprofessional and incompetent

We have purchased a Caliber Home in Woodbridge and have thoroughly been disappointed. This company is very unprofessional and shows no level of competence. Around our neighbourhood you will discover that most people are unhappy with the people we are forced to deal with. They will be selling homes in Kleinburg - buyers beware!

Here's a list of details that will allow you to understand what Caliber Home Owners are dealing with:
- the president and face of Caliber is someone who won't do anything - won't even return your phone calls and if by some chance he does, he'll say he will deal with the issue but won't
-almost every worker that will come into your home will complain about the company and tell you horror stories of what your neighbours are facings
- almost all workers will tell you that work that is done in your home is of low quality
- arrangements with the builder for appointments will not be cancelled - they just won't show up
- work will not be done in your home...you'll wait for months and items on your PDI will not be addressed
- lies, lies, lies - they will be told to you and you'll catch them (e.g., they will tell you something is on backorder for your home and a month or two later, they will send someone for measurements which confirms that nothing was on backorder to begin with!)
- workers will damage your property and Caliber will not fix it
- have a hole in your roof? Not a big problem, so they won't fix it.
- paid for an upgrade and unhappy with how it looks - tough luck they won't fix it
- you'll wait for months for upgrades
- workers come unprepared to your home...what you thought would get fixed, won't and they'll have to come back
- they will tile your floor and won't ensure that the floor is leveled
- electrical problems - good luck getting an electrician in
- leave a voicemail for someone at Caliber - it won't be addressed
- dents and nicks will be fixed but the painters won't bother sanding the walls before painting so everything shows!
- they won't look at your list of work - you have to tell them
- looking for something to get fixed, you better find workers working elsewhere and get them to come in - otherwise, no one will be sent to you
- no respect for your property - junk is thrown around everywhere
- they will work at ridiculous hours - saw a guy working on a house at 9:30pm!
- you really have to argue with everyone and that doesn't get you far, but you will be farther ahead
- you will be able to bond with your neighbours about how horrible Caliber is and how unsatisfied everyone is with everything

I have neighbor tell story about this builder and didnt want to be mention their name. but make sure do not by home from this builder, you will regret for the rest of your life to deal with such dishonest builder.

We arein TOTAL agreeance with you on every point! Unprepared workers resulting in multiple visits, unprofessional attitude, no idea of items on the list until things are repeated several times, takes forever to get stuff done, response time is at a snails pace, forced to continue working with on-site service manager...the list is endless. It's funny really that all it takes to resolve these issues is a management team that cares about the home owners and the end result. Shame on them and buyers beware!
