My husband and I are new to Toronto. We have had many pleasant visits to LCBO previously except this time. We would like to complain about one of your staff in Bloor Street LCBO for 2 unnecessary behaviors (one major and one minor).
Major concerning behavior: My husband and I have been to an LCBO with a dog a couple of times before (explicit permission from staff was given in the scrivener square LCBO in our first visit). We went to the LCBO on Bloor Street with our dog on Jan 6, 2022. A staff (short hair white lady) was very loud and aggressive in her tone when she asked me if my dog was a service dog and asked to me leave. It was very embarrassing. I agreed to leave with my dog right away but she insisted on escorting me to the door, which caught a lot of unnecessary attention. I had an emotional breakdown right outside of the store in the cold, waiting for my husband to finish the purchase.
The second behavior happened shortly after when my husband made a purchase of 6 cans of beer and a bottle of sake. He placed the beers and sake in the same 8 pack cardboard holder for easier carrying. The same staff had to intervene and ask him to take out the sake from the holder. This act is not offending, she may mean well, but again unnecessary.
I really hope the management team can talk to this staff about how best to communicate with a cooperating customer, causing the least level of embarrassment. She may also make customers happier if she can give friendly advice instead of being rigid.
I am very likely to visit the same LCBO again and would love to see her with an improved attitude.

Not spam, if you did not know how the pandemic has affected people’s lives, especially newcomers, I wonder where you have been.
I had to buy alcohol to cook.
I don’t want to believe that this is how LCBO would treat complaints, and check google review, there are so many complaints about the same person. So maybe I am not the spam here…
