I went to the Elmvale LCBO (Elmvale Shopping Center, 1910 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, ON K1G 1A4), I walked up to the cash to pay, there was a tall, older gentleman with glasses. The mask mandates for Ontario are now removed, so I wasn't wearing a mask. As I'm placing my items on the counter, the cashier stepped back to toward the entrance, and stared at me, menacingly. I wasn't sure what was happening, I didn't know if he was serving me, but I kept putting my item on the counter, the cashier still looking directly at me, menacingly. When I was done he finally stepped forward to serve me. I didn't say anything because I didn't know what was happening. It was really strange, it felt very creepy, I felt single out, it felt extremely disrespectful. If he was doing that because I am not wearing a mask, that is really disrespectful. Please address this issue, because I will go back, film him and sue him for discrimination, not willing to serve customer without a mask.
Desired outcome: Please discipline this person, let him know that it is NOT ok to treat people this way, he is in the service industry, he chooses to be, he should accept the responsibilities that come with it and accept the consequences to his actions.
