We purchased an LG washer/dryer combo from The Brick, Collingwood in early February, 2022 and while the washer works well, the dryer shuts down after a couple of minutes leaving us to restart so each load can take much longer to dry. The Brick staff said the problem was a "defective board" which was confirmed by the repair technician sent...who also is unable to provide a repair date due to part unavailability. It turns out that the LG washer/dryer combo has a recognized 'motherboard' problem that some folks know about! When asked to pick it up for full credit, The Brick tell me they can't until they receive a 'Return Authorization' from LG so their combo sits in our Laundry room.
Desired outcome: We want this defective LG combo unit picked up for full credit.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

I appreciate the frustration you're referring to.
Getting the return authorization is a common procedure that all retailers must adhere to. Initially the product is serviced. If the product cannot be serviced easily and effectively, an RA number is provided by the manufacturer so the product can simply be swapped out.
