Burger King

My husband and I were out doing a bit of shopping & decided to stop at Burger King for lunch. We had a coupon for 2 Can Dine for $14.59. You could have 2 WHOPPER Sandwiches or 2 Original Chicken Sandwiches along with 2 medium french fries & 2 medium soft drinks.

I am not fond of hamburgers & wanted an Original Chicken Sandwich instead of a burger. My husband is a burger fanatic & asked at the counter to have 1 Whopper & 1 Chicken sandwich. The person he was dealing with said "no" ... no substitutions allowed. He showed the worker the coupon said Whopper OR Chicken sandwich. The worker then asked (assuming) manager and she said no substitutions it had to be 2 Whoppers or 2 Chicken sandwiches.

With me not liking burgers & hubby not liking or wanting a chicken sandwich what choice did we have except to leave and go somewhere else.

We are seniors on a fixed income and don’t eat out often. When we get coupons in the mail we try to use them when & wherever we can.

It had been eons since we were at Burger King and now because of this not likely going back.

Not every couple have the same likes so if you wanted to make a change to the coupon could it not have been easy enough to have our request granted? If not, please explain why.
