WestJet Airlines - Brought Premium Ticket but not seated, boarded or food as Premium.
I traveled from San Fransico, CA to Kelowna, BC with "Premium" tickets. I was given both boarding pass in San Francisco and there was no seat assigned for flight Calgary, AB to Kelowna, BC.
I was assigned seat 3D for flight San Francisco to Calgary, AB and was provided food and drink. But I had to go to gate desk in Calgary, AB to ask for a seat assignment for flight 3163. They assigned me seat 11D, which I stated to them that was not premium and they told me I would have to call Westjet. Are they not Westjet? Then I was boarded as Zone 3 and was not offer any food? I paid extra for "Premium" so why was I treated like I was nothing and even if I was economy, you would think I would have been treated better.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the non-premium seat and no food that I paid for.
We booked our tickets to Victoria (flight WS462 on Sept 5), in April 2023, with the help of Infinity travels. WestJet Airlines - Missed connection due to delay leaving yxe not having 75 minutes wheels on the ground
Reservation code EVVAUY, no checked luggage
-Westjet 601 Yxe - Yyc departure 7:40 arriving 8:55
-Delayed due to mechanical issues ( had to reset navigation system)
-Revised YXE-YYC departure 8:21 arrived 9:36
-Westjet 1424 YYC-LAS departure 10:25 -arrived at gate E75 at 10:07 lined up behind people boarding and denied,Empty seats on aircraft.
- Rebooked on WS1624 @3:30.
Told need 75 minutes wheels on the ground for international. Mechanical issue within your control . $400 compensation required.
Desired outcome: Air passenger protection requires $400 for each passenger by law is required.
flight ws1624 was delayed 2 hours. as a result I am eligible for $700 as delay was 7 hours
WestJet Airlines - Paying for unreserved seats
I flew with another companion on June 3rd, 2023 to Vegas from Calgary International Airport. I had booked through Air Miles. When trying to check in 24 hours before flight the system gave me an error message. When arriving at the airport on June 3rd the representative at the desk advised me I had to pay for my seats (which I had not reserved) they advised that Air Miles had not forwarded the amount for the seats? I have flown through Air Miles previously and have never encountered this. I really could not dispute this as we were planning to fly that morning. The total for two seats for leaving and returning cost me $140.70. On returning to Calgary I have called Westjet and Air Miles multiple times and they blame each other. I assume somehow Westjet assigned seats as Air Miles has repeatedly told me they do not have an option in their system to assign seats. I am really disappointed about this and have concerns about future travel. I feel I should be reimbursed this amount as I did NOT reserve seats. Westjet Reservation code RYGTTT.

WestJet Airlines - WestJet flight 188 departing Kelowna BC connecting in Calgary AB on flight 3159 continuing to Ft Mac.
The flight from Kelowna was delayed by 1 hour. When I got to Calgary and approached the gate there were still people boarding but I was sent to customer assistance to be rebooked on a later flight that significantly unconvinced me and cost me more then 340.00 to arrange travel. I can not express how tired and disappointed with WestJet’s service and excuses as to why the service has become unbearable for convenience. I travel internationally on business regularly and never experience this kind of horrific services I will be cancelling my RBC WestJet MasterCard and discontinuing my support for WestJet after 25 years of support.

WestJet Airlines - Cancelled flights, customer service, lost luggage, and rebooking
on feb 24 2023 pur flight from calgary to winnipeg then thunder bay was cancelled WS268 we were on the plane for close to 3 hours waiting for take off then they cancelled our flight. we were told to get our luggage and wait in line at the ticket agent to book our next flight. ln line we were told we could not book a flight there after a hour another westjet employee told we had to get back in line to rebook we did and again after 20 minutes in the same lady told us we couldn't book a flight l told her we were told not to listen to her,she asked us who said this and lm pointed out the empolyee she went and talked to her,so the wwestjet employee who told us to get back in line told us to come out again. l was upset and then she said l was only in line for 15 minutes. what we were on a plane for 3 hours waited for our luggage for an hour now wasted another 2 hours trying to get back home. finally we got someone in charge. she seem to be in charge of the ticket agents and we told her what had happened she had an agent look into it with her 10 minutes later she told us there wasn't a for a couple weeks but told us to wait she went to check something. 30 minutes later she said there wqas no way back til march 5 and she checked all alternatives she got the manager and they offered us food vouchers and told us to book a hotel. she told us we can try to mgo home on our own and to keep our reciets and then submit them when we got home . now we got finally home we were denied everything even the cancelled flight for passengers rights. we got hold of a Carlos employee #27957 he was the worst he asked us if the lady who was in charge gave it to us in writing which was insulting then he asked my wife 4 times if we sent our receipts in each time she was getting more fustrated then he started talking about flying a plane that wasn't mechincally fit to fly why would we want to. my wife and l looked at each other where did that come from. next day we went flew to kamloops by westjet and when we land our luggage wasn't there maybe we might get it tomorrow, the next day we got it but l couldn't get any flights to toronto then thunder bay via air canada tilmonday which meant another night in kamloops. my wife missed work l didn't have any of my meds and we are c ounted on helping our kide by watching our grand children we were not going to get back for anothern 5 or 6 days who knows that ight of change . the lady in charge of the ticket agent and the manager were the only that showed any concern for us. as for the rest of your employees especially carlos were brutal and just now all we were offer was 450.00 dollars for hotel and food which we spent 675 and nothing for our flight with westjet and air canadaand also nothing for our flight cancellation due to mechanicl errors. if we are not reimburse l will be talking to my MP and then l have to see about going to small claims and whatever else need be

WestJet Airlines - Check in technical glitch with Visa recognition
My US Visa that I'm having for 10 years and flew hundreds of flights from Canada to the US in the past could not been recognized by Westjet's check in system.
I was told the system requests an expiry date but it does not have the field for providing it. Still the message in their system was popping up.
I had a priority flight and had to wait 2 hours for something "override" the glitch in the system by using a mirrored system. The corporate department had to check with US customs if they changed something. Answer: no.
No guidance why this happened and very unfriendly staff of Westjet. So I don't know if I will encounter the problem in the future again.
They just did not care. I had to run to the gate to catch the flight.
Desired outcome: Knowing why the Westjet system at Calgary Airport would not accept/recognize my Visa.Apologize for the long wait time on the most expensive ticket and for the very unfriendly customer service of the supervisor (Paula).
WestJet Airlines - Cancelled flights
Regarding Delta 6951 Operated by Westjet Airlines ,from Calgary to Edmonton on February 20,2023. I have incurred several expenses for food, transportation and hotel .
I reached out to Delta airlines whom redirected me to Westjet for compenation.
I tried to rent a vehicle to drive home as we arrived at the airport very late in Calgary. I was told rental vehicles need to be prebooked a day in advance .
In addition Lost wages for all 4 travellers as we could not economically afford a taxi, Uber ride from Calgary to Edmonton.
A westjet agent handed us boarding passes to depart at 2125 hours on the 21st of February. This rebooking was not adequate as we were expected home in the morning of the 21st.
Below is my expense list .
Desired outcome: Reimburement for myself and 3 other travellers for flight, transportation, food and hotel. We are loyal Westjet customers and would appreciate a full refund Thank you.Wendy Bouwsema
WestJet Airlines - Refund for cancelled flights
We received an email on monday sept 14 from westjet that our flights to costa rica on october 28 have been cancelled. We called westjet with concerns but they cannot issue us a refund as we are not eligible/privilege clients, but only offer us a credit on account. We do not have the flexibility to travel at a different date as we are attending the party table of a wedding. We require a full refund so that we can book flights to attend the wedding as planned using a different airline. The westjet representative kept saying that she "understands" our situation but cannot give us a refund as they have to be careful with funding to issue refunds (we are not privilege as we are not premium members - or high class travelers). She refuse to transfer us to a manager under instruction that calls cannot be transferred. She suggested to write a complain, which we are doing now...
WestJet Airlines - trip problems
First of all my name is michael homann, my wife and myself booked a trip for april 1st to april 13th, now the problem is.
We were suppose to leave april 1st 2019 from thunder bay on flight #ws3218 at 6:15 a.M. We checked into the airport at 4 a.M.. The flight was delayed one hour due to westjets computer system being down globally.
When we were finally able to board they wouldnt let us on the plane to toronto as we would have missed our connecting flight. The next plane wasnt until saturday april 6th, we would of lost a week of our trip by then. They expected us to do this. We were at the airport until 1p.M. Trying to rectify this problem. They then offered us to fly to cayco coco on wednesday april 3rd. We did accept this but we had to pay out of our pocket the fare was $350.00 us.
We live 31/2 hours away from thunder bay so we also had to pay 2 extra nights in a hotel which cost us $153.00 per night.
Whenremoving our suitcases from the plane it was very damaged whole front was ripped. I needed a new suitcase whiched westjet rep did replace, my stress level was o high I ended up with a massave headache.
We had asked to switch to a resort in cayo coco or go on our trip at another time next year. So our only option was to fly on wednesday to cayococo and take the 71/2 hour taxi to our resort feista americana at our cost of $350.00us. They also expected us to go through our insurance.
As for the customer service in thunder bay all we can say is they were very awesome in trying to help us. As for the westjet people we talked to on the phone they where not co-operative and very rude to us, I believe her name was althea. Once we got to cayo coco the westjet rep. There wouldnt even help us. He pushed us out of the wayand told us he had other passengers to help. We just about got stuck there as a taxi driver didnt want to go the 7 1/2 hour ride.
Even after we were guaranteed there would be a cab available for us. I believe his name was ivan
We also prepaid our seat selection total cost was $208.00 which we didn't get on the new flight, we didn't feel comfortable taking a taxi across the country in the first place, we felt very unsafe.
This was westjets problem and we feel we show be compensated.
In ending this if we do not get a response from you we will have no choice but to go to social media with this
