Thane Direct Canada H2O Mop X5

After watching their TV adv I purchased a H2O Mop only a few months ago and a few weeks ago a small piece of the cord holder broke so I wrote to the company and advised them that I need a replacement part since its still under the 1 year warranty. After about 2 weeks and my repeated emails they finally responded to my email - only to tell me that I have to pay $14.95 for shipping cost. This Mop is so cheaply made and the broken piece probably costs only a few dollars.When I purchased this item over the phone I specifically asked the rep what if I have problem with the mop and I was assured that I have nothing to worry because it comes with a one year warranty and nothing was mentioned to me that I am responsible for the shipping cost. Isn't this company's responsibility to make such disclosure especially when I specifically asked about the warranty? The rep even tried to sell me extended warranty - good thing I refuse the offer. If I was told about the shipping cost when I made this purchase I definitely wouldn't have bought the mop.What a scam! Buyers beware! I noticed that there were other complaints about this H2O Mop. I wish I had done some research about this company before making such purchase. I will definitely NOT buy from this company .

well, yeah shipping fee is tricky. I have a x5 h2o mop too. I broke the hook as well actually..I fixed it with glue but it came off again. Not sure if I send it back since my case was I stepped on it and broke... I don't know if we usually get shipping cost covered when we return or fix the product. I know DELL is good for that. I never shipped anything back. well luckily that is a small part of the h2o mop x5. still works no problem. I like this product coz it does a good job on floors, tiles, bathrooms, or for car detailing, but in case it stops working and if i need to ship it in, shipping cost is annoying definitely. but I think you overall you are getting emotional because of your experience. the product works amazing and it really cleans things out and leave my place spotless. I also had a better customer service too. my suggestion is that you should use a warranty just before it expires so that you can get replaced for free. well this is what I usually do. So that it will be worth shipping cost or whatever. Goof luck!

Thane Direct Canada They are causing an unnecessary cost to the consumer

I ordered the H20 Vac Turbo. They gave me 2 and they both don't stay at the high suction for more than 10 minutes. I called to voice my complaint. They did not offer to fix or replace them with new ones, only money back. I get billed for shipping yet I did not get any information on the return shipping in the infomercial or in the paperwork. They are causing an unnecessary cost to the consumer. Had the units worked I would have kept them. Had they offrered ones that worked I would have considred it with a personal guarantee that they do work and stay at the high suction power. I would have also gladly delivered them to the warehouse.
