GM Canada Recall issue

There have been a number of recalls for the 2001 GMC JIMMY, mainly recall #01073A & B stating Ext. Lighting Brake Switch/ No rear brake lights. I'm told that the service was apparently completed on my vehicle in 2002, but another recall came out in 2008 stating the same problem. GM Canada is refusing to do the necessary recall on my truck stating that it was previously completed and that my vehicle is over a decade old, so it's my problem. I won't be purchasing another GMC in the future due to this issue. My rear brake lights stop working and its the switch that needs replacing. Thanks for nothing GM! You just lost a long term customer over a recall part. DEC 2001 - Recall #01V364000 MAY 2008 - Recall #01V364 / 01073B

GM Canada Silverado Junk

I purchased a 2009 Silverado in Oct. 09 with 3000 kms on it the low oil light came on. I took it straight in and the service dept had the truck for 1 month, first a sensor then the oil pump finally a complete teardown to find the problem, a faulty cam bearing and cam, 3000kms you say they repaired the motor not a new one. Flash 5000 kms more on the truck and I have a pool of oil on my driveway, it goes in again for repair, this time leaking oil pan. I bought a new truck and got one worse for repairs than the truck this one replaced and it was 35 years old and a dodge. I have spoken with gm the best I can get out of them is you have 5 years warranty, well how much of that 5 years is it going the be in the shop or broken. Gm is Absolute junk and do not stand by the substandard product the pawn off on consumers. Do not buy one!

I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous and like many others it has ABS problems. The ABS wiring harness collects moisture and causes failure of the wheel bearing/ABS assemblies. I have spent more than $1000 repairing ABS and have only had the car for 5 months. There is a huge problem with these vehicles and GM is taking no responsibility for a something that should have been recalled. The problem is going to cause accidents. The third time I was almost in an accident because the ABS fired while I was approaching a stop sign on dry roads I unplugged a sensor, effectively shutting off the ABS before it could kill me.
