Betty Crocker Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix Review: Easy Instructions, Disappointing Results

But, gotta give it to Betty Crocker for the easy instructions. Just add water, oil, and eggs. Boom, you got yourself some brownie batter. The consistency was good too, not too thick or runny.

However, I was disappointed with the end result. The brownies were dry and crumbly. I had to add some ice cream just to make them edible.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend the Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix. Maybe try a different brand or make them from scratch. Don't waste your money on this one.

Betty Crocker Disappointing Experience with Betty Crocker Lemon Cake Mix: Bugs Found Inside

So, I went to the store and picked up a Betty Crocker lemon cake mix. I was excited to try it out because I've heard so many good things about Betty Crocker products. But when I got home and opened the packet, I found ants and weevils crawling around inside. It was gross and really disappointing.

I checked the expiry date on the packet and it said August 6th, 2021. So, it wasn't expired or anything. I don't know how the bugs got in there, but it was definitely not a pleasant experience.

I think Betty Crocker should do better when it comes to the quality of their products. As consumers, we expect high quality from such a well-known and loved brand. Finding bugs in a cake mix is not something that should happen.

Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with Betty Crocker. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving the quality of their products.

Bought 1 box of each cake mix in years past 1 box always did a 2 layer 9" round. Today neither box would come close. Filled one just below half and only had enough batter for 5 reg cupcakes. Had to make rest from scratch, 1.69 a box almost doubled since I bought them a couple of years ago and can't even get a 2 layer cake. What happened to the mix? Why advertise it doing 2 layers when it does not?

Betty Crocker Coconut pecan frosting

Baked a German Chocolate Cake and frosted it with the Coconut Pecan frosting. Then when I served the cake. The frosting was completely full of some crystal like substance that was like chewing glass. It didn't taste sweet like sugar. I don't know what it was but it was not edible. I had to throw the whole cake out. Our dessert was ruined.

Wondering why they dont put baking times on their packet mixes ?

Is this a new way to sabotage your own product or just blame the condumer ?

Wondering why the print on the cookie mix bag is so small. I had to use my phone, take a pic and then enlarge the image to get the correct instruction. I've been cooking and baking since I was a kid and this takes the takes the cake. Very frustrating! It's like a game "Guess the instructions". Invite your friends over and make a day of it...You're now on my no buy list. CONGRATS!

I purchased Betty crocker butter cream frosting 12 ounce that says you can frost a 9 inch 2 layer cake. I couldnt even frost the sides, it was embarrassing as I made this cake for company that day. I always bought betty crocker frostings but lately the quantity is smaller, I absolutely will not buy 2 frostings to frost one cake. That is what it seems you want the consumer to do. Such a shame.

Betty Crocker fudge brownies

I baked a Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix, It wasn't until when I cut into them, I found something that had to of been IN the mix. This of course was after my son had already had a piece, looked like a piece of a package or label of some sorts. I could make out some writing that said "powder" . Definitely not something I had! It was definitely not very appetizing after finding that. I think in the future it might make me steer clear of Betty Crocker's brownie mixes and buy a different brand .

Betty Crocker supreme lemon bars

I purchased a box of lemon bar mix yesterday. I came home and baked them, as directed on the box. I have used this product many times and have always been pleased. Not so yesterday. I had to throw them out. I baked the crust, as directed. While mixing the lemon filling with eggs and water, I noticed the consistency was different. It was very sticky and wanted to form into large lumps, rather than a few small ones. I actually used a knife to try and cut these large lumps. I poured it on lower layer and hoped for the best. When finished baking, the lemon had all gone to bottom of pan and was hard as a rock. Top layer was a white tasteless bubble in top of pan. Something is seriously wrong with this mixture and it should be recalled at once. This is a brainless recipe, so impossible to mess it up, if not defective in the box.

What have they done to the Chocolate Frosting recipe? I have used this for years, but will not buy it ever again! The last two times I have bought it, the frosting is completely different in taste and consistency. The frosting turns wet, almost runny & has a terrible taste. Unsatisfied consumer!

Betty Crocker chicken helper crispy cheddar bacon chicken

Product was purchased at woodman's in onalaska, wisconsin. Use by date 16jun2017 hn 2 b 0845.
The seasoning and bread crumb packages are both labeled "bread crumbs". So when I made the noodles, what I thought was cheese, was in fact breadcrumbs. So now my dinner is #. I wasted money I really don't have. And you guys kinda suck now. I get it mistakes happen.. But. Still really sucks. I wasted a lot of food I don't have.

Betty Crocker worm in soup

I was eating a can of progresso beef and vegetable soup and found a worm. It was about an inch long, white and had big dark red eyes. I emailed in my complaint and have not heard anything back from them. I wonder what kind of hazard analysis critical control program they have set up to keep out physical/biological/chemical contamination. If a worm can get in, what else could?

I recently registered on the website www.bettycrocker.com, which provided different healthy recipes and other information about food. After several weeks, I lost my password and wanted to restore my account, but the moderators didn’t provide new password. I’m sick of their silence, and I need help. Please if someone has any ideas how to restore my account, please contact me. I just wasted time while waited for the response from the moderators.

Purchased Reese's peanut butter & chocolate dessert bar mix. 2 of the 3 packets were unmarked as to which was bar mix and which was filling mix. I opened each packet and smelled them hoping to figure it out. Both smelled the same and there was not much difference in texture. I proceeded to go ahead and try to figure it out..needless to say I picked the wrong one and they were bad. I am an experienced cook for over 60 years and have trusted Betty Crocker as a reliable company. I am hoping that this particular package just slipped through the process.
Thank you for hearing my complaint

I was eating the Progresso Chicken and Wild Rice soup today and found a worm in it. When I contacted the company, they tried to tell me that it was rice. It was NOT rice - 100%! I will NEVER eat this soup again!

Yesterday Jan 22, 2015 we opened a box of Betty Crocker Chicken Helper with an experationd ate of April 21, 2015 . Box was sealed as normally and bag inside no holes or any kind of openings... Well inside was a web with many maggots and some sort of flying moth looking bugs all inside. I videoed and took many pictures! NEVER in my 41 yrs have i EVER encountered anything like this! I was so sick to my stomach and didnt even eat dinner that night with the thoughts of how close we came to cooking this! Thank God the web was very noticeable to make us look twice!
I now have a phobia~ EVERYTIME i eat anything, even something like a hushpuppy from Captain Dee I brake open to make sure no bugs are inside! And i will NEVER EVER eat ANYTHING now that is sold inside a box!
I seriously have been bothered by this! Not even sure how or how to handle with who to contact yet to complain. This seriously is not a sweep it under a rug and forget situation!
