Refused to complete service after payment
We got Bugs and Sparks out for an electrical inspection to get our electrical certificate in order for us to sell our house. Our house was swamped with electricians and plumbers. The plumbing part went well until we had to rectify and change a tap they broke. The electricians walked through the house explaining to us what was incorrect. Most of the issues were small enough for a handyman to rectify. The electrician told us to change what we can. So we did. After receiving their quote we asked Bugs and Sparks to come out and rectify what was still at fault. After hearing that we attended to some of the issues ourselves (like fastening a light switch) they refused to complete the inspection. After paying the money for the certificate Bugs and Sparks refused to complete the inspection and we are still without a certificate. Now we have to pay more money to get another inspector out just to complete the sale of our house. Shocking service!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I am not sure why you decided not to include all the facts, however i am sure if you did your complaint would be unfounded. There were 16 items on our quote that needed to be corrected in order for Bugs and Sparks to issue the electrical certificate of compliance. You completed 15 of those items, leaving only an electrical label to be done. Now, even though we allow our clients to do some of the repairs themselves (if capable) which we then take responsibility for, we cannot be expected to take all the risk. No reasonal person or business can take all the responsibility for someone else who did the repairs if they do not work for that company. It is unreasonable for you to expect us to take all the risk and responsibility for your workmanship especially not knowing your ability or knowledge. In the event of some faults occuring or worse a fire resulting from your work we would be held liable. Our insurance company would also not honor the claim as we did not do the work. We did explain all of this to you however you wished to use this platform with destored facts to complain.
