My name is Oniccah Mzolo I want to lodge a complaint about Booking.com & Metsing at Harties confirmation number: [protected], pin: 8244, I made a reservation via booking.com for accommodation at Metsing at Harties from 25-27 August 2023, and on the 2 August 2023 made a debit order amounting to R2800.00, due to unforeseen circumstances I could'nt go, however I wrote an email to Booking.com on the 15 August 2023 for cancelling the reservation.
Then I got a response from booking.com stating that if a refund is due, it was being processed automatically-you'll get it within 7-12 days. After days went by, on the 14 September I called booking.com on ([protected]) spoke agent Ma Victoria S asking them what is holding my refund, and she informed me that I won't be able to receive my refund because it has been paid to Metsing at Harties.
I have contacted Metsing at Harties on ([protected]) and they told me there's nothing they can do.
My frustration is that no one phoned me and explain the consequences of cancelling the reservation I should have opted to move the date & month if I knew beforehand.
Your assistance will be highly appreciated.
