I wass hired as a Quality Insurance Agent through Indeed. It was a drop ship company where customers list products they purchased through other companies and then list on their website. The company provides them a shipping label (FedEx, UPS, USPS) to my address. I was to open the packages and remove all inserts and tags and check products. Next, I emailed my manager, Katherine Cunningham with the weight of the package and in turn, she emailed me a new shipping label with the customer as the shipper and the final destination customer as going to. Often, i caught that Katherine inflated to weight of the shipments to charge more to the customer. I was to be reimbursed for any shipping material. It did not happen and I am out about $50. The first 30 days was the trial period and I was to be paid $2500 at the end of the month. If I was hired, I would receive $2500 monthly plus $25 per package completed. I was offered to be paid by PayPal, a paper check or ACH deposit to my bank account. In case it was a scam, I opted for a PayPal deposit. I asked several times about W-4 information and Katherine advised after the first 30 days. Nearing the 30 days, I asked if I was moving forward and of my first paycheck. She said I was hired FT and i would be paid on 7/17 for $3250 which made no sense. I never got paid. I tried contacting her and the recruiter and the emails bounced back. I tried calling the phone number on the website which either rings dozens of times or is busy. A red flag was that Katherine's emails were often in broken English. They did have me sign an acceptance letter before I began with my DOB, SSN, and email address for PayPal.

I traced the provided street address which goes to a building under construction.

All of you participated in the well-known reshipping scam, of which there are literally thousands of warnings about online. Even the USPS issued a pamphlet warning people against. This scam generally appears on the top 10 scams list every year, sometimes making it #1. How can people keep falling for this is a mystery to me. I guess you all are the same people who think someone is going to pay you to stuff envelopes. But anyway, yes, you have been part of organized crime and don't be surprised if police pay you a visit. P.S. No, you are not going to see a dime. Why would you except a scammer to pay you?

I’m going through this now with Katherine. She told me my first check would be for $3825 and shipping expires from Finland. While my emails are not bouncing back yet she has stopped responding. I tried calling the number but keep getting a busy signal. I’ve looked up both addresses to the company and they are both residential apartments. I feel absolutely stupid for falling for this. It has now been 10 since she claims my check was mailed out and would be received within 7-9 business days.
