BlackBerry screen blackout in 20 days old

Blcakberry bold defective one month old
I bought a blackberry bold few weeks back (pin:20dbfba5 imei:
351845.03.466899.9) I was very happy with but suddenly last week the handset
Lcd started shaking and all color resolution of the handset got disappeared
I was certainly very shocked to see this, as paying such a nice amount and
Getting such shocking result in weeks was bad, I have launched a complain
With airtel (kolkata, india) (complain no - [protected]). My compain to you is paying a big price not getting a damaged piece which is just a week old I have lost my faith in that piece I want a doa or a grn to be done. Please help
I have also contacted airtel for the same but no help.

BlackBerry faulty

I bought a blackberry pearl last april signed a 3 year contract, and paid $49.99 for the blackberry, I never had a problem with it, I dropped it, kicked it (by accident) and never any problems. Then in january, right around new years (january 1st-3rd) it started loosing connection to the network. So I called telus, they told me a bunch of codes to call. I did that they said it would "fix it". Of course just like every other big company. It did not, so I call them again and they told me to go into a advantage wireless location, which fixes telus phones. So I went in they say it needs a software upgrade, so I give the tech the phone he says "15 to 20 minutes" and it will be done. So I come back about 17 minutes later, and he says "sorry another 20-25minutes we had some issues updating. So I wait, and wait he comes out, tells me the phone is fully defective, and will not take the update. I ask him if there is other phones out there like this, and he says like 3/5 of this model do this within the first year, so they sent my phone away I was without a phone connection for 2.5 weeks, remind you here I do not have a landline. So paying the bill for 2.5 weeks with no service.
Please people watch your bills, phone contracts, everything with telus.

Amazing! Amazing, I have learn new trick how to be an annoying customer from you. So u admit that u drop and kick the phone a few times, and when it isnt working anymore, you complaints that telus suck? WOW, , ur truely amazing

BlackBerry poor quality product and service

With the fascination of 'push mail' technology, I requested the blackberry service provider in sri lanka to enable a weeks trial prior to migrating to a blackberry. The polite, but firm reply I received from the service provider was that although they would dearly love to allow a trial (as we were told we are one of their top customers), due to restrictions imposed upon them (the service provider in sl) by blackberry (rim), the company was unable to allow a trial but that a money back purchase could be arranged.

As this is typical stone age marketing tactics (as the seller thinks its he who rules the market), I complained to 'help at blackberry.com' and '[protected]@...' advising them that as a customer I feel that black berry was not right in assuming that a customer would migrate from another system to blackberry platform without been given the privilege to experience the so called 'push mail' and 'office at ones fingertips' experience. To this complaint, I received a friendly reply from blackberry' rim that they do not impose such restrictions on service providers and that they are sorry about my bad experience. Blackberry also suggested that I take up this matter with the local service provider.

My thinking as a customer is, if this service provider advised wrong information to a customer about a blackberry product (as blackbeery rim claims in in their reply) and it is in blackberry's own interest that they should investigate this issue and correct the position. As for me, I am merely complaining on something I feel is not right and it is blackberry if at all who should check this false claim and correct the record so that least in future customers would be told the correct thing.

I have advised of above to blackberry and await their response for the last two weeks!

Since this episode I have lost any interest in blackberry products as they as a brand owner have failed to uphold customer complaints and have decided to take the easy path by putting back the blame on the service provider. At this stage, I am inclided to believe the service provider in view of the double standards applied by blackberry rim.
