I have purchased three devices from Black Market and my last purchase involved my trading in a phone. All the products I purchased from them have been good, no complaints. My complaint is about my trade-in. I shipped the phone back to them as instructed, was notified that they would pay what they offered for the phone but they want me to entr my baking information, the last 4 digits of my social security number and a copy of my driver's license to "identigy" me. There is no way I am giving that information to anyone. I paid with a credit card, am registered on their site so I do not know why they cannot pay me what they owe for the phone my either crediting my credit card or using Zelle or Venmo. I had to search for a couple of days to get a phone number and email for them and when I finally got a person, I told them to just ship my phone back to me if putting in all the personal information was the only way to get paid. I have not heard back from them about either my phone or the money they owe me. I will never do business with them again.
Country of complaint: United States
Claimed loss: $151.00
Desired outcome: I want my phone shipped b ack to me if there is no other way they will p;ay me for it without having all this personal information.
