Avbob Building review: Misleading Information given by the consultant

I opened a policy with AVBOB on the 23/08/2025 with Sphamandla, I was actually not interested in his policy however he posed a question about the premium that I'm paying with my current insurance company. I actually logged in to my-self service portal and showed him that I've covered myself, husband, mother, mother in law and my two sisters and I am paying R784. Everyone on my plan was currently covered for R20 000, He requested to quote me on the same amount with the same number of people and I agreed. He then created the quote, and He came to me saying your policy will only be R403.00 for the same cover. I asked him what would happen if I cancel my current policy would it wave my waiting period ang He agreed that it would.

Because of the amount that He said I would be paying for the same benefit agreed and signed up with him. He told that I was going to send me cancellation documents and He never did. On paying my first instalment which was on the 29/09/2025 I remembered that I had not received the cancellation documents, I immediately reached out to him and He made another promise that He was going to send in which He didn't. I decided to stop my payments since I cannot be paying two policies for the same thing.

After my payment in November I decided to register for self service and check my policy with Avbob, to my surprise I realized that the policy is for R10 000 for each member not R20 000 as agreed. I immediately reached out to him and He said He was going to check with head office and get back to me because He is 100% sure that the policy is for R20 000 for all the members. On the 28/11/25 He called and said that head office says He is the one that made a mistake he even repeated saying I don't know how because I used the APP and I select R20 000.I said I cannot be inconvenienced because of a mistake made by Avbob, I cancelled my policy of seven years because of this and I expect Avbob to take accountability for this mistake. I have attached our conversations, screen shots and voice notes.

I've tried attachin VNs but failed, I will send them to whoever that will get back to me regarding this.
