Ordered an Auroralites dog collar in February of 2008 for a total of $51.00 USD. I never received the dog collar. Even now, the owner Dave Youngman continues to make excuses via email and still has not shipped the product I ordered. I have my original invoice from him as well as the several emails we exchanged where he attempted to explain why he hadn't yet shipped the dog collar. He play's to your sympathy's but eventually he just stops emailing you back.

His company has an "F" rating on the Better Business Bureau's website and the last time I looked he at upwards of 23 individual complaints for non-delivery of products paid for in addition to other complaints. This guy is a massive fraud and yet he continues to defraud people everyday. I urge everyone to investigate him and other sites before buying online.

This is very sad to hear. I've ordered directly from him on 3 separate occasions, a year or so apart, and got email responses and pretty timely delivery each time (internationally). The last time it did take a while longer than the others, and I got the same response about prioritizing orders for law enforcement and working dogs, but the collar came a while after. That said, the website seems to be shut down, and 3rd party websites all seem to be discontinuing the collars. I wonder if he just kept getting more and more orders and eventually just got in way over his head. It's a shame because these were great collars. Super bright and super unique. By far the must visible stand alone collar I've ever used (and I've used a LOT), and a really cool color. People would always admire them everywhere my dogs and I went. I see some are still available through the Amazon marketplace through the seller Great Moose Ornament Co., and so would be covered through Amazon, but sizes are already limited, and once they're gone, that'll probably be it. (And the "1-year limited manufacture warranty" may be a non-starter at this point.)

I ordered two collars as well which I never received. No reply on my emails either. Wish I had known about this board earlier!

I also ordered a collar and never received it, here I quote what he wrote back:
me: Hi, my order Invoice#: 2009-10-09-xxxxxxxxxxx has not arrived yet, is that normal or should I start thinking that something happened? Thanks for your replay.
Dave: No, no worries. I make these here and sometimes I get behind because I have some team orders to fill or I'm waiting for components to clear Customs. I do prioritize orders from working dogs so if you have a working dog let me know.

Dave
me:Hi Dave, I am so looking forward to getting it, I exercise a lot at night, I am in Seattle and it gets dark really early now at days. I understand your circumstances, but a piece of advice, I think you should prioritize orders based on individuals and teams; team orders would understand better having to wait more than a month to get it
Two months passed by, I never heard from him again, nor did I ever get the collar and arm band for a total of $111.00 dollars.
Do yourself a favor and forget about buying from him. Total FLAKE!
