Woolworths

To whom it may concern,

There is a gay gentlemen working at Woolworths Chermside on Webster Rd in North Brisbane that on a couple of occasions now, while I have been shopping in-store, has been making inappropriate sexual comments and jokes to other staff members and loud enough where I could hear them. I feel this needs to be dealt with as it gives the store a negative atmosphere that this type of behavior is allowed to go unchecked. Other staff members may feel this is ok however as a customer, and with sexual harassment laws in Australia, I feel that this gay gentlemen is stepping way over the line with his inappropriate behavior. These laws are in place not only for women, but in general and whether or not he is making his sexual comments or jokes to a female is irrevelant. I myself as a customer do not want to hear his 'fantasy about another coworker or if someone likes his sausages with a sexual tone.' He is an employee, and subject to the same laws as all other workers. I trust this will be dealt with in this store and all other woolworths stores.

I will further be making a complaint to head office regarding this matter as obviously the standards are either dropping or, need to be readdressed regarding appropriate conduct in the workplace.

I trust that this complaint will be passed on to the relevant store and dealt with. I do not know the gentleman's name however, I am more than sure this can be addressed to all gay staff members and/or all staff members with a note that a complaint has been made regarding the behavior of one of their gay staff members. Again, LGBT or not, all staff are subject to the same laws and therefore should be addressed accordingly.
