Aspen Dental - Lower Partial not fitting

I had a new lower partial made in 2020 and it fit. In 2022I had to have three teeth polled and they were going to add teeth to my partial that I currently had. They took an impression with the partial in my mouth before they pulled the teeth. I had a lot of bone fragments after the teeth were polled and pain the partial did not fit. I kept having them adjust it and adjust it. Now they’re telling me I need to buy another one, since I haven’t even been able to wear my current Partial since they added the teeth to it it’s not my fault the partial doesn’t fit I’m 74 years old and don’t have money to throw around like that. They wanna charge me 1400 for another one.

Desired outcome: Make my partial, correct

Aspen Dental - Dentures that were not required

I would like to be a part of the class action lawsuit against Aspen Dental. They caused me real harm.

The dentist who removed all of my top teeth and many of my bottom teeth then gave me dentures told me that I had gum disease and that my teeth would become loose, not that they were loose. They weren't. So, he pulled all of my top teeth and several of my bottom teeth and gave me a full upper denture and a partial lower denture.

I would never have agreed to this if I had been fully informed. There are several aspects to this. First, I considered a dentist to be medically knowledgeable. Second, since Aspen Dental is a major company and, I believed, licensed to operate a medical facility in my state, I believed that they would not do anything unethical.

However, following the removal of my teeth and the dispensing of my dentures I have found that I have a severe problem placing the dentures in my mouth. When doing so, I gag so hard that I often vomit. I am not sure whether this is my gag reflex or whether it is a psychological issue. I only know that this happens every single time that I place my dentures in my mouth. I am actually glad that I can wear a mask during COVID-19 so that I don't have to wear my dentures. I can hide my bare gums behind the mask. Then I don't need to go through the trauma of placing the dentures in my mouth.

Additionally, I have realized that this never should have happened. I remembered that, at one point, a dental hygienist placed small white tabs into my gums and told me that they were to stop the bacteria that were causing my gums to recede. This is what should have been done at Aspen Dental. Instead, I was charged thousands of dollars to pull my teeth unnecessarily and replace them with dentures.

I have thought on many occasions that I would like to have dental implants so that I would not have to put dentures into my mouth. I can't afford dental implants though.

I am very angry that they took advantage of me by claiming that I needed dentures when I did not. This was a scam of a great magnitude. Please help me to seek justice for what they have done to me.

I will attempt to take a video of me putting my dentures in to show you how bad this is to me. I will upload it at another time.

I went into Aspen dental yesterday, I lost a small piece of fillling. I wanted to get it fixed to avoid any further issues. My regular dentist is closed due to Covid at this time. After the exam and x-rays, the dentist informed after a brief 3 minute consultation with me and extreme urgency he proceeded to tell me i needed all my teeth pulled top and bottom from bone loss, and that my teeth are all loose and going to fall out. They then made me wait in a room for my account manager to get me. I go to her office, then we do not discuss my treatment but my finance options.
I have never seen a dentist or company so quick to remove teeth, without any other options, and i have no issues with teeth, no pain nothing, just needed a small filling replaced.
Beware, i would not have anything to do with them after such a rush diagnois

That is exactly what I had happen. It makes wonder if you live where I do or whether Aspen Dental does in every office. My advice: don't let them do anything. Wait until your regular dentist is open again.

Aspen Dental - Tooth extraction

I have scheduled an appointment with Aspen dental on July 11 for an exam and x-Ray and following July 16 for tooth extraction. As company advertised x-rays and exams are supposed to be free. I was charged on July 11 in advance to reserve a spot on July 16, because as I was told a doctor will be sent to perform tooth extraction from outside of the clinic. I was told that it's important to put the hold on my card in advance and reserve the spot, because Doctor did not provide his August schedule yet. So they don't know if he will be able to perform any operations in August. The hold on my credit card was never dropped, turns out I was charged $423 for tooth extraction and Consultation that I never received nor discussed to be charged for. On July 16 the whole procedure took 35 minutes from the moment I entered the office to the moment I left the office. I was left with a big bruise on my lip and one of the blood vessels broken in my mouse that left a big purple spot.

Aspen Dental - Rude people

I have never been treated so horrible as I was at the Aspen Dental at Watertown NY. My dentures are breaking down at a rate of every three months. They are only 5 years old, so I don't know if that is normal. Anyway, I cannot afford the $100 every three months to fix them. I am on a tight budget. I didn't buy the cheap dentures. I bought top of the line. I was being treated so bad I started to cry, which only made them treat me worse. (One exception) I had to go back 2 hours later to get them and they made sure they made me wait another hour while they took everybody ahead of me. My Mother was waiting in the car and heard two girls come out and say how rude the people are in there. I got in there only to be treated worse than before. I figure the 6-7 thousand dollars they have made off me, I would get better service. I will never go back there again. I always told my friends about that place. I will make sure I let everybody know how bad this company is. I tried to find a website to make a complaint and cannot find one. Of course you can't find one because they get bombarded with complaints and don't want to bother. Another way that they handle business. Aspen Dental needs to make some changes.

ok here we go. I was advised by a person who was at phone number you give for resolving issues.
First off I have been to your Auburn office where at times they are not nice people. I have a hearing impairment and apparently they have no patience for people who need to ask for a repeat of what is or isn't being done.
The reason i had to call phone number as I keep getting charged a late fee of $39 due to payment being late...well i asked with the first payment to please change date due to they way my Social Security is paid. I get my check the latest 14th of the month so i asked so I wouldn't be late. So again this month I was charged.
Now the girl I talked to said I should ask for a reduction in cost due to the fact they were paid for service of teeth extraction insertion etc. My teeth were pulled in Oct. I just got my permanent set second week of MAY I have been back for adjustments about 6 times they still aren't right and I have pretty much gone back to wearing my temperory set.
I can't eat properly with permanent set. I am still having to put adhesive to wear and they told me this is probably what I would have to do the rest of my life.
My wife has had her dentures for 20 years and only since she lost 85 lbs has she had to use anything.
Now I was told in the beginning my payment was to be in the neighborhood of $95. Imagine my surprise when my bill came and it was $135. That really cuts into my retirement money. When i asked they told me it'll go down each payment you make. Really?
I couldn't afford top of the line but still [protected] dollars is far from chump change. My wife believes now she should have spent money for me to hear and the heck with eating.
Now how can we resolve this issue? To fix payment due date to say the 20th I think would be fair. And if they can't get these teeth right, by the way i travel 30 miles to and from each time one day i went back 3 times. Now come on. In all fairness half price?
Oh another issue was my wife thought she would have her top denture relined, since the weight loss, they gave her the price but added, well we give all people over 65 a discount, my wife is 58 and that didn't set too well with her.
Ok the ball is in your court please figure fairly and get back to me by e-mail/ and phone to talk in person.
I thank you for the opportunity to get my point acrossed I am sure you will be fair.
[protected] is my home phone number

I also find the sevices at Aspen Dental Watertown lacking. Unfortunately they are the only office in the area that accepts my insurance so I'm stuck.

If you had the top of the line dentures as you say, you would know that there is truly a 7 year warranty on them, and you should contact someone in the corporate office about this. They will get them repaired if you have the top of the line dentures...
