I had a loan through aqua finance. I was 6 months ahead on my payments and in the mean time I ended up paying the loan off in full and asked them about the extra payments that I was ahead on and was told that them payments was strictly interest payments. So what they did was when I called them for a payoff amount, they gave me a 10 day payoff as of the day I called .
So I asked about what about about the payments from this day up to the payments I was paid up to and was told that don’t count that’s was all interest. I’m still baffled trying to figure it out. This is the biggest rip off company I’ve ever delt with. Try to avoid this company as much as you can. How they get a one star is fake as they are. Please read all the reviews about them before making a decision on financing with them. You won’t regret it…
They do not show you any paper work or record of your payments as you pay. They just show you your payment and that’s all. You never see how your loan is being paid down. Like I said just the payment you made that day.

You've certainly learned the ropes with this one -could've been worse if you hadn’t kept track of your payments so closely. They sure have a way of making things more complicated than they need to be. At least you've got a clear warning for anyone else thinking about financing through them. Seems like transparency isn't exactly their strong suit.
This company purchased my preexisting boat loan +$100K. Payments are made via mail directly from my bank to AQUA and sent a full week before the due date. For SA: my credit rating is above 800 and I'm in the top 5% of wage earners. Aqua finance does not cash or apply the monthly payments for ~3 weeks and sometimes longer so they can collect more interest. History shows all payments made previous to Aqua purchasing the account were posted on time every time... Now +/- three weeks late every month. Their position (AQUA) is that if I give them control of my checking account to make withdraws, the payments will no longer be posted late. Then they sent a letter stating they could not substantiate the late posting of mailed checks. I hate this poorly run company, their customer support (or lack thereof). This should be and probably is illegal!
Note: Even my Credit Union will not make payments directly to AQUA as they do with almost every one of my external accounts.
