As a new business owner, I was contacted by AngiLeads/HomeAdvisor on September 2, 2022, about joining them to secure business leads/potential jobs. I told them that I was interested in getting job leads but I was still in the process of setting up my company and was not open for business yet. They told me they would turn off leads until I was ready to open. I have not yet completed setting up a business account with them but have been sent everyday business leads from both AngiLeads and HomeAdvisor. I also received a voicemail today (9/14/22) that I was going to be charged for all the leads they have sent me and it was in my best interest to call these leads and secure the jobs. I called the customer care line and complained and told them that I wanted to have the $300 that they charged my account on 9/6/22 credited back because they did not hold to their part of the agreement. My business was and is not open yet, and they did not "turn off" the prospective job leads as promised. I have not called any of these leads because I am not ready to service those protective clients. To make this right and satisfy me, I want the $300 credited back to my business credit card. Also, any additional charges that they are incurring or have been incurred against the business must be removed. Their response to me was we can not credit you back the money but will give you $300 in job credits. I told them that this does me no good. I demanded that they remove the business from their list of contractors and that I do not want to do business with a company that has nonexistent integrity. Their response was that they have not made any further charges against my account, they will not return the money, but give me $300 in leads which does not do me any good. This company does not charge the consumer that calls in for approved contractors, but the contractors that work in good faith are the ones being extorted.

Desired outcome: No further charges, $300 credited back to the company credit card.
