Shorfall on amount [R1 000.00] agreed on for services rendered
On 27 October 2015 I was visited by Mzimkhulu Klaasen and his brother Odwa Klaasen. The reason for their visit was to ask me to organise and coordinate entertaiment during their father's birthday celebration which was scheduled for 13-15 November 2015. They asked me to organise a jazz musical band to perform for the two days [13&14 Nov 2015]. We agreed on the amount of R6000.00 for each day of the two performances. They also indicated that the second day performance will be dependent on the first day and it will be confirmed after the performance on Friday 13th November 2015. I was later asked to submit the list of songs we were planning to perform and also the quotations and I did so as requested. I requested to the Klaasens brothers to ensure that the cash payment was already available after the performance and they agreed. After the performance on 13th November 2015, I should say I struggled to get the money as agreed as they were saying I will get it after the performance the following day [14th Nov 15]and later one of the brothers went to draw and came back with R5000.00. I was told by Odwa [one of the brothers] that it was the ATM limit, I will be getting the rest the following day after the performance and I reluctantly agreed. On the morning of 14th Nov 15 [Saturday] I called Odwa to check with him the time he was going to fetch us [band] and he told me that he was still asleep and also he did not have airtime to call his brother [Alfred] and he asked me to buy for him. I transfered R29.00 airtime to his cellphone [[protected]]. He never came back and I called Alfred who said we were no longer going to perform on the day and that Odwa was going to bring the outstanding R1000.00 to my house. Up until today Odwa never arrived to bring my money, I have called both of them on their cellphones and sent smss and e-mails and they have never responded to me. I was left with a debt of R1000.00 as I had to pay all the money to the band members expecting that the brothers will pay me the outstanding money.

AMK construction had no contract with Mr Mxolisi but he was asked to perform at our dad 70th birthday party celebration. Out of the 6 sibilings Odwa recommended them to the family and indicated that he will sercure them to perform at the birthday and he will be the one that will sort out the cost in that regard as his contribution to our fathers birthday.
I therefore don't understand why my company is being brougth into this matter or myself in my personal capacity. We have not provided a service to Mr Mxolisi and company so i dont understand why he is including my company in this issue.
I even went further and ask Odwa my brother to reach out to Mr Mxolisi and pay him said R1000 because its wrong that he doesnt pay him for the performance he did in 2015.
Odwa has confirmed that he ask Mr Mbatembu to reach out to Mr Mxolisi and give him the R1000 he was owed.
