AmeriLoanUnauthorized charges!

I took out a payday loan with Ameriloan a few months back, trying to make ends meet. In addition, I had two other internet payday loans with other companies. Unfortunately, I found myself further and further in debt and, unfortunately, had to file for bankruptcy. I was advised by my attorney to put stop payments on all of these loans. I did this on the 11th of January. The companies contacted me and I told them what was going on (1) that I had filed and (2) to contact my attorney. Well, guess what? Today, January 30th, I happened to check my bank account and saw that I was $1500 overdrawn! These people (Ameriloan, United Cash Loans and One Click Cash) all ran checks through my checking account! These checks were NOT authorized!!! I'm just devastated by this and hope that my bank will reverse these charges. I just wanted everyone to know DO NOT, EVER get a payday loan with ANY Company. They are very unscrupulous people who prey on those that are in a financial bind.

Your bank will return your money as long as you go to your branch and fill out an Affadavit stating that you did not authorize the loan companies to debit your account. Even though you initially gave your authorization when you signed up for the loans, you notify the companies and informed them of the stop payment and your bankruptcy. You must complete the affadavit to say NOT AUTHORIZED. You have a very small amount of time to do this in order to get your money refunded. Good luck

I'm sorry yet another person Ameriloan has screwed!! They did almost the same thing to me. I was moving out of state and therefore no longer using that bank account. I sent them an email via their website stating that i was moving and would no longer be using that bank account and I would contact them when with new bank account info. Well not only did they charge my account but they broke each amount payment up into 3 separate charges equaling whatever the monthly payment was. So they charged my account on about 3 separate occasions with 3 charges each time for a total of around 9 charges to my account. My account was overdrawn and I was charged overdraft fees for each charge. When i talked to someone at Ameriloan, after arguing with them they said they would deduct the overdraft fees from the amount I still owed them. so after all was said and done they said I would owe them like $60 but I had to pay it within the week. I had just started a new job in a new state and hadn't even gotten paid yet so I told them i couldn't pay it within the week. I was told take it or leave it. So I had to leave it. Now almost 3 years later they have harrassed me at my job almost everyday. They called using fake names. They've been threatening to report me to the credit bureau and haven't done so yet. 3 years later!! Now what company do you know that you owe money to that doesn't report you within the first year??? A company operating without a license and under ficticious names that's who!!

No, they don't. They charge you according to the agreement that YOU signed! There are so many people out there with similar stories to yours. All of these paydal loan companies work the same. If you do not opt to repay your debt in full, they will refinance your loan, and will therefore see two seperate ach debits on your bank statement. This can very easilly be avoided by simply opting to repay your balance in full, by calling, writing or faxing a letter to the company, three full business days prior to your due date. Once you do this, call to confirm they have your information on file. If ths information is on file at that point, you will see ONE ach debit from your bank account for the total amount due - and unless you apply for another loan - you will never hear from them again. Again, all of these payday loan companies operate this way - but 90% of people FAIL to read the loan agreement!!!

Unfortunately, I loaned money from both AmeriLoan and United Cash Loan. That was before I found out about the complaints against them. Luckily, my bank (Bank Of America) is just Great! United Cash loaned me $300. After they took out $90, they took out $600! It even caused me overdrawn fees and all! I called Bank of America and they tolf me to file a complaint and they will investicate. In a week or too, all my $$$ got refunded and they advised me to close my account. Ameriloan had loaned me $300, and they took out $360. That wasn't all, Ameriloan called and said that the $360 they got were all interests and they have yet to collect their $300. Well, good thing I closed my bank account because I heard they run their own checks if you just block them from online withdrawls

I was also scammed by this Ameriloan and PayDayCash, I borrowed 200 dollars and they both took $500 dollars each then they had the nerve to tell me my loan wasn't paid off yet !!! I stopped the payments, canceled my debit card and closed my account! I told them to send me a letter, I have yet to hear from them. I will never again take out a loan online, or give my bank info to anyone online again - I have been a wreck trying to sort through this. The sad thing is their attacking people who don't have the money to begin with, their thieving ### if you ask me.

I recently ran into a small financial bind. While my monthly income more than enough would satisfy my debts this month, one of the payments due on a truck was escalated to earlier in the month. So, I contacted Ameriloan, and I borrowed $400. I was told very clearly that the finance charge to go to the end of the month paycheck would be $120, so my total amount due would be $520. I was also told very clearly that as long as I call them three days in advance of the due date to arrange for the payoff, they would take a single charge of $520 and that would be the end of it. However, if I do NOT contact them, they would only take the $120 and then roll over the loan to the next paycheck. Since this is something that I needed, I am taking responsibility for this and I have already entered into my calendar to remind me to call them exactly three days beforehand and arrange for the payoff. I am going to do this via phone, fax, and written email, and I am going to document exactly who I was speaking with. I have used these services before, and truly I have never had a problem as long as I paid careful attention and made sure to honor my end of the deal. And I expect no differently this time around from Ameriloan.

I think that hearing both sides of the stories have definitley taught me something. i have recently got a loan for $300.00 and now im terrified to check my balance of my checking account and see what happens. my pay date was here today and was unaware that the office was closed today, , FRIDAY..i was also unaware that u had to actually make contact with them three days prior to make the full payment.i also wish i would have saw the consumer complaints before i took a loan out.my advice as a first timer is to actually look into and research these companies before.so many people lack resources for help in desperate times causing them to turn to companies that easily rip people off.i like many others dont have the privilege to borrow from a friend so do have to turn to loan companies like these.overall, thanks for ur stories they help !

i took out a loan ith Ameriloan 2 1/2 months ago and every payday since they have deducted 120.00 from my account. 5 payments of 120.00 and then an additonal payment of 50.00 for a total of 650.00. hen i try to call they simply don't answer the phone. i ent to their ebsite and they do not have a contact # or email address. today i closed my account and reopened a ne one in an attempt to make them call me. We'll see what b.s. they throw at me. i think it is ridiculous that i have already paid 650.00 for a 400.00 payday advance and from the looks of things they are going to tell me that the loan has still not been paid off yet. they will be hearing from my layer about this, luckily i have a lawyer that orks for my business and is not charging me if i have to pursue this issue in court. STAY AWAY FROM AMERILOAN. I've done this before online with loan rollovers and this has never happened to me until i ran into AMERILOAN. They are crooks and you'd be a fool to dispute that!

we all know these people are crooks, so i closed my bank account & when they didnt stop calling me at 7 in the morning, I fought back calling them right back about 300 times for over 4 hours lol (i had the day off & the surf was flat). they got so annoyed they eventually stopped calling. HARRASS THEM BACK, if you got kids like me show them how to operate a soundboard give them the number and let em go to work. When they ask for payment tell them like this "wish in one hand and s**t in the other and see which one fills up first" or if they ask when they will recieve payment tell them "why don't you pick a date, that way we can be supprised toegether". Their company is a sham, and thier employees are rude, ignorant and downright evil. Give them s**t until you can't poop anymore. and remember *67 blocks your phone number. Remember these people dont care & niether should you, they will eventually be brought to justice, so why not have some fun while giving them the finger on the way down!!! God Bless and good luck people.

I took out a pay day loan in December for $200 under the assumtion that it was going to be debited from my account in full on my next payday. They did not do that they did not send me an email or try to call to inform me that they were only going to post a $75 charge per month torwards intrest ONLY! To make a long story short I have given them a little over $900 on a $250 loan that should be against the law. They prey on people in need of financial assitance and end up getting 4X's what they loaned you. I'm in the wrong business! LOL

OK FIRST OFF, THE LOAN AGREEMENT IS VERY SIMPLE. IF YOU READ IT, YOU WOULD KNOW HOW IT WORKS. IF YOU DO NOT LET THEM KNOW 3 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE YOUR PAYDAY WHAT OPTION YOU CHOOSE, THEY TAKE YOUR EXTENSION FEE AND AN ADDITIONAL 5O THAT GOES TOWARDS PAYING YOUR PRINCIPAL BALANCE. I TOOK OUT A LOAN WITH AMERILOAN AND THEY WERE WONDERFUL. REALLY WORKED WITH ME. ALSO, IF YOU ARE GETTING COLLECTION CALLS, YOU OBVIOUSLY WERENT BEING RESPONSIBLE AND READING THE LOAN AGREEMENT OR LISTENING TO ANYTHING THE LENDERS SAY. ALSO, THE INDIA COLLECTION CALLS, IS NOT AMERILOAN. THEY ARE IMPOSTERS. EVERYONE I'VE SPOKEN TO FROM THAT COMPANY IS FROM OKLAHOMA. SO IF YOU ARE GETTING CALLS FROM THOSE PEOPLE, ITS NOT AMERILOAN. ALSO...IF YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY IT BACK, DONT TAKE OUT THE LOAN! BE RESPONSIBLE! IF YOU CANT AFFORD AN INTERNET PAYDAY LOAN, WHICH IS A SHORT TERM LOAN AND PEOPLE USE IT AS A LONG TERM LOAN, AND IN THE LOAN AGREEMENT IT STATES IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LONG TERM LOAN, ITS NOT FOR YOU, THEN DONT TAKE OUT A LOAN. DAMN PEOPLE, IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO READ A VERY SIMPLE LOAN AGREEMENT?

Do not use this company even if you are extremely desperate. I am not joking when I say I only borrowed 300.00 and have paid back 500.00 so far and they are still waiting for a payment of 125.00 in 14 days. Thats not it. They still want more payments and say my pay off amount is 325.00 more. I cannot believe the stress they put you through. DO NOT USE for any circumstance! Now every time I look at my account its going down for no reason. If you use them for anything, it will happen to you too!!

I strongly agree that the people who are writing in favor of AmeriLoans, PayDay Accelerated, UnitedCashLoans are the people who work for these companies. The definition of loan is to borrow money and then pay off with interest. There is something majorly wrong with this loan process where you have to pay $300.00 a month just to pay off $500.00 loan. Here is the fact, these companies have highly paid lawyers who have found a loophole in the system and now they are taking advantage of that. FOR GOD'S SAKE we are talking about people who are taking out small loans because they don't have money to begin with.
Not everyone reads the entire loan document but almost everyone skims through it and if you notice, these companies have highlighted the portions that they want you to read such as...

Loan Amount: $500.00 Payoff Amount: $650.00

Naturally a person would think that he/she will borrow $500.00 and pay $150.00 on interest which adds up to $650.00 but No No No... that amount is there to stay.

GETTING A CONTRACT SIGNED BY SOMEONE DOESN'T GIVE THESE COMPANIES RIGHTS TO DO WHATEVER. THAT'S WHY STATE LAWS & ACTS ARE THERE TO PROTECT THE CONSUMERS. I AM CURRENTLY BEING BURNT BY ALL OF THESE COMPANIES THAT ARE LISTED ABOVE. WE NEED TO ACT AND DO SOMETHING COLLECTIVELY IN ORDER TO PROTECT US AND PROTECT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE ABOUT TO BECOME VICTIMS OF THESE RUTHLESS COMPANIES.

PLEASE PROVIDE RESOURCES AND LINKS IF YOU KNOW ANY THAT CAN HELP US ALL. I LIVE IN ILLINOIS SO I AM LOOKING INTO ILLINOIS LAWS THAT CAN GIVE ME PROTECTION. I THOUGHT THERE WAS SOME SORT OF CAP THAT WAS ENFORCED UPON THESE COMPANIES SO THEY CAN'T CHARGE RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS TO BORROWERS.

    HERE'S WHAT I FOUND:
    Where to Complain, Get Information:
Regulator: Illinois Division of Financial Institutions
Address: Consumer Credit Section, 320 W. Washington Springfield IL 62701

let's file a class action lawsuit against these companies I am sure there is a law against writing up a contract that runs people's bank accounts dry and push them towards bankruptcy. I will start posting youtube videos against these companies and share those links with you guys so we can spread the word rather quickly.

kgaide, I recently reported MoneyMutual and the other three payday lenders I mentioned above in my earlier posts to Consumer Credit Division of Financial & Professional Regulation (www.ildpr.com). You can fax your complaints to 312-814-8672 (if you live in illinois). I spoke to someone in this office today to get the status of my complaints, the person said that they are going after MoneyMutual and the other PayDay loan companies and will post these fraudulent lenders on this link soon http://www.idfpr.com/DFI/BorrowerBeware.asp. Read my other posts for more info. Hope it helps.
Also, I received an email from one of the companies stating that I can pay $275.00 to settle the account where I should only be paying $50.00. I replied back with the following (please read the fine print):

I DO NOT AUTHORIZE YOU TO DEBIT ANY AMOUNT. I HAVE ALREADY PAID $600.00 AGAINST THE LOAN AMOUNT OF $500.00. I OWE AMERILOAN $50.00 AND THIS AMOUNT WILL BE MAILED TO YOU IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER'S CHECK. PLEASE SEND ME THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS WHERE I CAN MAIL THE $50.00 PAYMENT.

    THANKS,

you have to read the fine print very carefully, for the first four months u pay only the finance fee which does NOT apply toward the principal.. on the fifth and successive months you pay the finance fee PLUS 50 dollors more to start paying down the loan. In my case i borrowed 500. i have payed the 150, , this next month i plan to pay the full 650, , do not loan with them unless u can pay this off full within two months. i figured out if i went the renewel route a 500 dollar loan would cost 3100 to pay off... 500 plus 150 for the 13 months it takes to pay down the principal at 50 bucks a month, my total monthy payment after the fourth month would be 200 and take 13 months to pay down... its very expensive unless u can pay it off quickly, , PLESE read the fine print and be sure u understand.

I am sad to say these people are stealing from people who are in need of help! Yes I didn't understand or read the fine print and have now paid 420.00 on a 350.00 dollar loan and still owe 455.00 dollars according to them. When I signed the loan I read the Loan agreement like any other loan I have ever taken out. ***Loan 350.00 Finance charge of 105.00 Total Loan Amount of 455.00***. This is not hard to understand. I was never asked if I wanted to make payments so I thought they would take out payments until the $455.00 was paid off. Well just be AWARE that these payments are interest only and you are paying nothing towards your loan! I am just sick for all the people myself included that they are stealing money from as if the interest isn't enough already. I am going to pay the loan off today and hope these crooks get what they have coming to them. Good luck and please think twice before doing business with them.

I personally cannot believe that Montel Williams would put his face on all of these unethical and undermining loans. I took out a loan several months ago for $800. Big, Big mistake. I should have just endured the heartache of being broke and overdrawn with my bank. I ended up paying $200 per month just for the interest, but please note that nothing pays down the loan until you start paying the extra $50 per paycheck. And please note that I said Per Paycheck. They talk really fast on the phone while you're taking out the loan and it seems like you'll only be paying once per month. Next thing you know, your senses kick in and you realize that they really meant $200 per paycheck. Now when you finally become able to begin paying the extra $50 on the principal, you realize that after 3 payments, you have already paid back $650 in just 3 paychecks, only to have paid $50 toward the loan itself. Please find another alternative until Montel Williams gets a conscious and stops promoting these Money Mutual lenders as a fast, safe way to get cash. Trust me, everyone knows that it is a recession right now, just reason with your creditors. Do not take out the Loan! Enough Said!
