I worked for Alpha Realty in the Boston office. First I was the office administrator and then the broker Joshua Weingarten, persuaded me to get my license and I wanted to since the money looked to be good. He said that the company would cover the $180 fee for classes. So I decided to go for it. Then as soon as I got my license he told me that I needed to have business cards done by him, couldn’t get them done any where else that was another hundred dollars. When it was the end of the summer, since I was in college, I was going to do only part time at that point I asked to be reimbursed for the classes, to which he said that, I didn’t rent enough units, which was NEVER stated before how many I needed to rent. And when I asked for the business cards he said they were somewhere in offices but he didn’t know where, and no one else did either, BUT the $100 was already deducted from the commission! Then when I rented my biggest apt. for a promised $800 commission, there was paper work missing to which he said he would take care of it, and let them move in so he could start collecting the rent. Then a year later he said when they move out then I can have the commission because that would mean that they stuck to their contract regardless of their missing consignor form. It is now 3 years later and he didn’t pay me back any of the money! The company owes me $1080, which for a college student is a lot of money! AND to make matters worse no one wants to work with the company because they are liars and cheaters. When I had to call and ask owners for listings and they heard it was for Alpha they refused! The company SUCKSSSSS! Never work for or with them you will lose money and time.
