I went to a job interview and was discriminated I feel by the HR person there by the name of Shawna. Ive been to many job interviews in my life and its easy to assess who or what is discriminating against someone. For me I recall this happening to me many years ago at a staples where the female HR people were being blatantly rude lying to me and nto giving me a fair chance at a job there. It was a very bad experience. Needless to say the experience at aerotek wasn't horrible but it was stil what I feel was discrimination. I went a 'job fair' they were having for a company. I was the last person to get interviewed. I waited 30 minutes, while witnessing everyone else sit in the rooms for at least 15 minutes or more with the recruiters. The females were all giving me strange looks and I had a feeling i was not going to get a chance if I interviewed with any of them. After 30 minutes or more it was my turn adn instead of treating me like a real candidate, the female who approached me was not friendly, and acted as if she was going to sit there and "give me a few minutes" to chat as she said. She basically already wasn't going to hire me before even interviewing me. I knew before my 'semi interview' i was not going to get hired--which is very rare. Generally you go into an interview, get a fair shot and then find otu the results. In this case based on the negative treatment by some fo the women there and the comment made by the female, I already knew I wasn't hired and she acted as if she was just taking me in b/c I was sitting out there. She literally said "Ok well I can sit with you for a few minutes" (then get u out of here which was how she was acting) which si absurd since I went in there for a real interview with my resume, hoping to get a fair chance at a job fair. During the interview--she was brash and rude and asked me 10 questions about my previous employment with a bad attitude..."why did u leave this job" "why did u do this"..."why did u do that"...nothing I said was right-she was also being rude and drilling me in a rude way so that no matter what I said it was wrong and it was obvious she had no interest or desire to even treat me as a potential candidate--she also kept asking me what other companies I had interviewed with--many times which was unnecessary...almost as if I wasn't good enough to even think about getting a position with the company...also the manner in which she asked questions was just very rude and abrasive...it was obvious not only did she have no initial desire to hire me or give me a fair chance, she wanted to make my experience was negative as possible before she finally just rejected me...also it was a sales/call center position...my specialty is sales/call center experience...Ive done it for many years..I'm an expert at the position...Ive also done a lot of sales...she then claimed I hadn't done any 'recent sales' which I had to correct her as I did...either way it didn't matter--she wanted to sit there with me literally for a few minutes and reject me which I already knew...that is not an interview or even close to a fair interview...so even though I had recent experience, and all the qualifications, she really just wanted to not give me any chacne with the position whatsoever from the beginning. This is odd as this is a job fair--and the recruiting they aer doing is very shoddy and not right. There are many bad recruiters out there who use their personal bias towards someone as grounds for hiring or not hiring---the female who did the interviewing was very rude and weird...her name was 'shawna' and i already knew she wasn't going to hire me the moment she opened her mouth and took me in the room...sorry but a professional staffing company has no right treating potential candidates in this way and it is ridiculous...maybe it is females who are jealous of other females in some way and decide to treat them this way...but I know I was not given a fair interview and the female basically just wanted to go through the motions so she could reject me without even looking at my resume...great job fair this company holds... very rude women who reject people before even meeting them or even looking at their resume... just beware before even attempting to go through this so-called 'staffing company' for any job position at all-- they dont hire based on experience or qualifications-- they seem to discriminate for no reason and treat people not so well...
with aerotek I wasted 45 minutes to get a fake interview with an idiot recruiter who had no desire to even treat me as a potential candidate for the position...beware of this so-called staffing company its very unethical
