Greetings,

On December 26th, 2021, AdventHealth EMS took me to the hospital from the emergency room after being admitted to the hospital. I received a bill in March 2022 for $1,420.82. I have called several times to include the following and could not get any assistance until July 25th, 2022.

On 5/6/22, I called and spoke to a female who gave the name "Kim" from Billing. on 6/22/22, I called again and spoke to Kelly. On 6/23/22 & 6/24/22, I called again and spoke to Kim; she took the information and said Megan would return my call. Megan never called. On all the dates, they took my information and said Megan would return my call. Megan never did. I received a call from Kim, and she said to call Early out @ [protected]. On 7/25/22, I called to set up a payment plan giving the amount I could afford and the date as 8/11/22 to start payment. After I did not receive a call, I went ahead and set up the payment with my bank. On 8/16/22, I received a call from a female stating she was from a collection agency and did not want to give her name. I told her that I already have a payment plan set up via my bank, and the 1st payment went out, which shows the transaction is pending. She insisted I should set up a payment with her. I question why I need to set up two payments. She refused to answer and insisted I should set up the payment, and began getting loud with me. I asked her to explain, and the female stated, " I must set up the payment.” Because I asked again for an explanation, she said I don't have to and hung the phone up.

I have made every effort to pay this bill because I do not like owing anyone. I find it unethical for AdventHealth/Early Out to send my bill to the so-called claimed collections knowing that Megan took my information on 7/25/22 to set up the payment plan. Someone did not do their due diligence, and this is causing me excessive stress and anxiety. I must pay two university tuition and all my bills. I am doing my utmost best to start the payments.

Respectfully,

Christine Jaehne

Desired outcome: I would appreciate AdventHealth correcting their mistake knowing that they took my information for the payment plan with a start date of 8/11/22. I will continue to make the payments of $100.00 ask planned with Megan on 7/25/22.
