Acima review: Fraudulent charges ( 1 comment)

I paid off my account with this company, Acima, over a year ago. Now I'm being contacted saying that I still owe one more payment as mandated by the state of NC. They stated that NC was the only state that charges one final payment one year after your account is paid off. I did look that up just to be sure and there's not a law mandating a final payment a year later for a lease. I ask them to close my account and delete my information from their system and the person, David, I was chatting with never replied back to me after that. I would be wary of this company if you're thinking of using them.
