I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. I am totally in agreement with this complaint. I received my statement yesterday, looking noticed that they charged me $44.85 for the ACAIPURE (that was to be a free sample with 4.95 shipping, and then the COLOTOX was also to be a sample for $1.00 + shipping, they charged me $45.85. Believe it or not, same company phone number. I have tried calling the number on my statement, can't get through, imagine that. I have called my credit card company, the FRAUD line, and will hear from them this week, . Today is Sunday. I can bot believe that Ophra would allow her name to be conected to this SCAM ! I want my money back, and them pulled off the internet. I have learned my lesson, will just do the good ole' exercise and cutting back what I eat to loose the weight.

Well, Folks - Add my name to the list. I finally got through to "Jason" (that was at the beginning of our conversation) and when I repeated his name suddenly he became "Jay." He gave me an RMA and I promptly packed the stuff up and mailed it back on Oct. 15. My USPS delivery confirmation shows it was delivered to them on Oct. 18. I asked for a refund in my letter and have yet to hear from them. I did not order over the internet - the offer was in a local magazine. After reading how this company continued to charge customers without their approval, I thought it would be wise to cancel my credit card - a major inconvenience as I used that account for other legitimate charges. It won't do any good to contact the BBB in Phoenix as I got no positive feedback from them. The BBB did contact the scammers and sent me a copy of the letter they received from the company (which was full of lies) and told me the case was closed. You can rest assured I've had it with so-called FREE TRIALS.

I did send them an email. They did email me a return number. I did return the package but I did not insure the package for the 80 bucks worth of stuff that was in it. The post office either has not been able to deliver it or they lost it. My conformation number shows it was sent but never delivered. I have contacted the post office and they are suppose to return my call but never have so now I have to go down and deal with the post office. Has anyone actually had a package returned to the company?

The very same thing happen to me. I tried a sample about 6 or 8 months ago & now all of a sudden I am getting charged 44.90 each month. How can I keep these people from getting my money. Can I just tell my Credit Card Co. not to pay. Please help. I can not afford this.

I also ordered the sample and was charged 44.95. Have been charged again for a monthly shipment that I still have not received. To get in touch with these people you will be on hold for at least ONE HOUR. It is unbelievable. They would not refund me, work with me in any way. I have even sent an email to Oprah. AcaiPure is a terrible company.

I also ordered a free trial for $4.95 shipping and just looked at my credit card bill and was also billed $44.95, I think this buisness needs tuned in. I believe this is a scam. I am putting a stop on my creidt card for the main reason of more charges showing up. I would suggest everyone esle does the same.

I too was scammed in exactly the same way as most of you.Fortunately my ccard company has reversed the charges and is investigating the situation. I am also contacting my state attorney general's office -the consumer protection division for help. I think we should let Oprah know how her name is being increasingly linked to a massive scam. And I too would be willing to mount a class action lawsuit.

Ad says Acia Pure, free shipping is 4.95 it took 3wks for the order to come in but what came, is an un authorized Hoodia water and Zoft hoodia gum and was charged 44.85. I called the #on the letter that came with [protected] says the wait time is 71 minutes due to heavy call volume. the company is 'Cetral Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc' with return address 'CCN Returns 12399 Belcher Road South Ste 140 Largo, Fl 33773' This is a scam these people are preying on people that think they are getting a certain one thing and they are slipping in others hoping that since it's already there you'll just keep the items thats doing business wrong and duping the consumer.

I like so many others ordered the free trial offer. I just received the product today 11/21/08. To my surprise the were two other products included in the shipment that i did not order or want. I have been charged $44.85 to my credit card, which I did not authorize you to do and was not agreed to. I have tried repeatedly to contact the company to get an RMA #, but was told there would be 67.6 minute wait. After gettin no answer I am trying to get the RMA# this way.

I trusted you since there was so much good information in the media about this product. I am very disappointed with your company. I do wish I had read all the complaints before I took your word.
I have contacted my credit card company to cancel any futher payments to you.

Please contact me with the RMA# ASAP! So I can send this Hoodiwater and gum crap back to You!

My order number is 1579824 and just in case you no longer have my nam and address it is:
Joan Baclesse P O. Box 841 Linn, Mo 65051

Please do not wait to long to reply to this request !

I had the same thing happen to me, in big print they state free trial just pay shipping and they debit my checking account for $39.95 and this month they just did it again and took $44.90 out my account. I called and waited on the phone for over 70 minutes...I am contacting the Better Business Bureau because they should not be allowed to get away with this. If their product is so great why do they have to send things and charge accounts for a product that was not requested...I only put enough money in my checking account to pay my bills and because of their latest charge which was not authorized I got charged an insufficent charge of $35.00...I am made...Times are hard and we all work hard for our pay and they should be ashamed of themselves...

this same thing happened to me . i ended up calling my bank. cancelling my card, and i requested a complaint form from the mo. attorney generals office. you have to do this to get your complaint thru the system. i did get thru to the acaipure people after a 2 hour wait. they called me a liar and hung up on me. turn them in to the attorney general. it's the only way something can be done. contact your credit card company or bank asap when you see these charges or they will CONTINUE to charge your account

and i have now become another statistic of this company.
i caught them early though and had my bank close the card that acaipure over charged and then tried to insist that i ticked the two boxes for the gum and extract that was after i was placed on hold for 70 minutes. was issued another one and i am now reporting them to the ftc and i urge all of you to do the same. i will also be filing a disput to have the charges removed.

here is the web site for the federal trade commission, just follow the prompts.

please pass this website on to others that have been ripped off by this company.

Not only did I experience the above, info also says refunds will be given only for "unopened units." How do you "try" something w/o opening it?
Then there is the 15% restocking fee.
Let them sue me, they are not getting any of my money except the original shipping fee.

I am still having trouble getting charges removed from my card. I never could reach them bu phone, finally did by email. They sent me a contract they allegedly
say i agreed to when i ordered the free trial. However
i do not recall ever seeing the contract when i ordered.
Sent two bottles back in the same package. They say
only one was sent back.
We need to somehow inform Opra and Dr OZ that this company is using them in their advertising SCAM
Keep up exposing this company mabey they CAN be STOPPED To BAD they are probably making millions
off this. One person at a time

I, along with all of you, am furious that these companies can use Oprah's name to recommend these products and then rip us off by saying we can try the product for $4.95 and then add additional charges onto our credit cards without any kind of notification. I suppose I failed to read the fine print and didn't mark the correct "bubbles" as stated in some of the emails above. I have had no luck in contacting the company, but I have notified my charge card company in hopes they can help me with this as I did NOT authorize additional charges. Hopefully, they has the power to help with this. I was so dumb to trust this company and their products. As some of you say, we should know better! Sad, but true!

Seems as if have a heck of a scam going on here people. I as well as all these other people have ordered your free trial offer and was sent the gum and drops that i didnt order and was charged 39.95 for them then you sent anothr that i did not order and charged my account for 44.90. I as well have tried for weeks to reach your company with no avail. But unlike the others I am a police officer and know what contittues fraud and that my firend is your company. There will be charges fikled against your company on my behalf. I want all my money back now. today if 11/20/08 you have until 11/26/08. you will not be taking more money from my account. I suggest to all you folks out there that this has happened to, immedaiatly go to your bank and stop them from drafting your accounts then go straight to your local police departments and turn in all the information you have. Also these pages have been forward to Oprah Winfrey who you use as a fake spokesperson and lets see what she does to you.

I actually read the "fine print" and made sure to make a note of the customer service numbers just in case I had any disputes. However, the problem is that I did not receive the products ordered. When I called to express concerns about not receiving my order, I was informed by an automated voice message that the waiting time to speak with a customer service representative would be exactly “82” minutes.

To ensure that no additional charges are placed on my debit card, I proactively called my bank to dispute the transaction and was told that they receive several complaints like this every day. I was also advised to cancel my debit card to avoid any other fraudulent charges. I ordered two (2) different products using the following telephone numbers: [protected] (wait time to actually speak with a customer service representive was "82" minutes) and [protected] (called numerous times and customer support was ALWAYS unavailable).

It will greatly benefit us all to refer to the "Complaints Board" website before making any future transaction of this type.

I went to the Acai Pure websit intending to order the pills only for the cost of 4.95 S/H but did not notice on the right side two boxes that were checked off meaning I would be charged 9.95 for gum and 29.95 for water drops. I believe this is what is happening to every one. I did NOT realize this until I was charged 44.85 the next day. I did call their number and waited 51 minutes to speak to someone. They told me NOT to send it back return to sender, but to get a "return Merchandise Authorization" number and mail it back. I followed these instructions and it's been 10 days and still no refund. I'm crossing my fingers and praying they will honor my request and be descent and honest.
We have all failed to recognize those boxes on the side when entering payment, that is what is getting us into trouble.
It's too, too bad this happened to so many people ~ lesson learned.

As I posted earlier, same happened to me, not only did I not receive the product, but was charged additional charges since then which I'm disputing. There were no additonal options to choose from on their website and yes I did read before agreeing to the acai pure purchase, however, I didn't agree to purchase any additional items. The only way to stop the charges from continuing to occur is to CANCEL your card. or they will continue to sell your credit card number and charge you!

What a scam! Where can I write or call to report these people? I ordered the FREE TRIAL on 10/15/08 with the understanding that they would charge my account $4.85 for shipping. They charged $44.85. I called and they told me I would receive a credit for $$39.95 when they get the product back. I waited for the product and mailed it back (another cost to me for the shipping) and then received a CHARGE, nor a credit on 11/4/08 for $39.95. It has cost me $84.80 for a product I don't have. Dishones way of doing business.

I can't believe how many people submit their credit card numbers to websites without thoroughly researching them first. I agree that this company is sneaky and unethical, but everything that you're all complaining about is outlined fairly clearly on the website. I hate to come to the defense of such an obviously amoral business, but you all learned your lesson the hard way. Next time be more thorough, ESPECIALLY if you're entering a credit card number. Kinda common sense.

You have to read the fine print at the botton of the page. It tells you that you will be billed every month, unless you cancel. I had to wait over an hour for customer service, but I did finally get through.

Same thing happened to me. Charged 44.85 for products I didn't order. I was then charged another 39.95 from acaipure on my credit card 3 weeks later. I tried calling and was told, by recording of course, that the hold time was over an hour. I also sent several emails to the company that have been ignored. My sugggestion is to cancel your card immediately if you fell for their free offer, because they will charge you again and will probably keep charging for as long as they can.

I ordered a free trial of AcaiPure via the internet. The charge was supposed to be $4.95 for S & H. When I received the product along with it came two additional products which I did not order, or thought I did not. My bill was for $44.85 instead of $4.95. I emailed the company to cancel my membership but I called also. The wait time for someone to answer the phone was 1 hour and 20 minutes. When Dawn finally answered the phone, she was very beligerent when I told her I had not ordered the two additional products that came with my free trial. She said on the screen where the credit card info was input were two boxes in yellow allowing them to ship the two extra items. I did not remember seeing these boxes. I in turn went back on the internet and entered fictious information to get to the credit card screen and found the two yellow boxes she had mentioned. The scam is that the boxes already have check marks to ship the products and no mention is made to deselect the "yes" response. No one would ever think to do this by reading the information about these two products. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the claim and will wait to hear from them. Since I did not order the two items, I am not going to return them nor am I going to pay for them.

Be aware when ordering "free trials" from the internet. There is ALWAYS a catch. I have learned a great lesson from this experience and this will not happen again to me.

I have made a free trail purchase of AcaiPure and was told that i would need to pay the shipping and handling fee only of $4.95. To my surprise for three weeks straight i my checking account was charged with 3 different amounts growing from, $29.95 to $59.95. This needs to stop i was outrage due to this un-authorize withdrawl of my account, and because i did not have the funds availible my bank charge me an overdarft fee of $30.00. Is there an orginization out there that can help us people being ripped-off by this company.
