I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. These guys are running a scam. The stuff does NOT work AT ALL! not only that, they tell you that because you used the product, they cannot refund you for the used merchandise. wtf?! what happened to the free trial? I'm kicking myself right now for ever believing that this crap could work at all.

If they are taking money out of your bank account without authoroization there is a simple process to challenge it-- just follow the directions for challenging transactions that is usually explained on the back of the statement.

This usually involves a written statement you mail to an address that is usually a headquarters location for the bank. By doing it this way, you will be sending it to the specific people at the bank that know how to fix the problem and know the law that requires them to fix it. IF you just call your local bank branch you will reach someone that doesn't know the federal law and you will alnmost alwasy get bad information. Federal laew requires financial institutions to research any disputed charge and get back to you within a short period of time. They will contact the entity charging you and request proof of the charge, the company will not supply the proof and the charge will be deleted. this assumes you meet the deadline for reporting thes that is explianed on the back of the statement. The kinds of chages that are reveserse are those that are not authroized (usually made on an email site or over the telephone without your knowlewdge.

Since the majority of businesses today are criminal ###, I only send money orders for mail order stuffe. You should do the same. Never send a check or use your credit card. If you send someone a check they have everything they need to steal money out of your bank account without your prior approval.

This is a JOKE! I actually did get credited back $33.95 for one of the bottles I ordered, and have been told for the past two months that I would receive a $33.10 refund for the other. I just spoke to a customer service rep who told me that her records indicated that I received the credit. I checked with my bank and even had them put together an email which I forwarded to the rep (Heather). Her response, basically, was "sorry, there's nothing more I can do."

I am also upset at the way they advertise "free trial" and only pay $4.95 shipping and handling. Then, 14 days later (hardly enough time to find out if you like the product or not) they zap your account for the $44.95. What is our world coming to?

Yes, I was victim of this scam. They are charging pr0ducts on my crédit. In the last month, it is amonst 400$. I have contated the Canadian Anti-Fraud association that work with the RCMP to track down these people, they need to be stopped. If you want products for weigth see a naturopath they have products that are approved and no extra charge, you see what you buy and have the information and a follow up on your progress.

I too had the SAME exact thing happen and I fought it thru my credit card company. I was away for 4 months b/c my dad was dying and the paperwork was all at home, therefore I had nothing to send in for proof and the credit card company closed the case and I had to pay the $44.95. WHAT A RIP-OFF! From now on I am going to research EVERYTHING online! Live and learn I guess! :(

This company now is calling wanting to declare me deliquest for something I never got. They had a collection idiot call me. I paid for everything I got so I hung up on him. This company, recommended by Oprah for Pete's sake, is a scam. I never even opened what they sent me anyway but they never responded so I couldn't return it. They can say what they want in their defense but to report me for not paying is really a joke. BEWARE OF THESE RIPOFF ARTISTS...
THE ONLY REASON THEY STOPPED SHIPPING IS BECAUSE I CHANGED MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER. THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED!

This is the biggest scam I have ever seen! Dont buy this crap. It says it will work, but they lie threw their teeth. I payed shipping and handling of 4.99 I tried the product for 2 weeks and nothing happend. So I canceled my membership and said I do not want anymore of the product and I asked if I would be billed later and thye said "NO, " I checked my account balance today and they had taken 79.99 from me so I called and the dumb ### told me that it says in the terms and conditions that we will bill you later on if you cancel your membership and when I went to check the terms and conditions it will not even pull up on the screen and they will not return any of my money. What a load of crap this company is! Do NOT try this product you will lose your hard earned money and will not see any changes that they claim will happen.

VERY PISSED OFF COSTUMER!

Is there a class action suit I can get on. I hired a lawyer today for over $500 in charges to my account and my credit card company after 4 months will not cover because they contend it was my fault even though I never recieved the products.

I too did the same thing, and have been charged multiple times. I wish I would have seen the complaint boards before ordering all of these products and paying for them at a charge of $89.80. I have had to close my credit card in order for them to stop taking money out.

Man I wish I had seen these before my daughter ordered this stuff! While it appears to work, the "fine print" scam caught her off guard. It is like pulling teeth to get the charges to stop...all this while you can get things as good locally for 75% less investment wise! Opra needs to mention this and we need some kind of intervention here. I am soooo sick and tired of not being able to trust anything anymore. The almighty dollar has totally clouded this nations vision to the point that morals are non-existent!

I to as all of the above fell for this lie but I was given a total different number to cancel for another company that selss products but I did come across the companys number [protected] to cancel anymore orders and she informed me that she seen I had called yesterday and talk to Nick to cancel my order...I NEVER called yesterday to cancel it because I just got the number today so I will be calling my bank and they will NOT get anymore money out of me.They apperently are a scam because Ihad nothing in my order telling me anywhere to call or a web page to cancel at anytime! Well the word is getting out and I am sure if we can figure out the right people to contact in our states they will put a stop to it. Hmmm wonder if my Senetor would or could help out? I agree the product DOESNT work at all!

This company is a total scam! Free trial my butt they send it to you and only give you 14 days to supposedly try it and call to cancel and have it back to them before the 14 days is up. Then they still charge your account claiming that they need 10 to 14 days to process your return. What the hell! And a side note their customer service people if that is what you want to call them are a joke especially that ### Aaron. I call to find out why there was a charge on my account because I returned their product and she has the nerve to raise her voice to me, excuse me did I charge your account unlawfully. Total scam besides the fact that the product does not work. My advice to anyone who has ordered this product close your account that you gave them to order it and my advice to anyone thinking about using this product don't it is way more trouble than it is worth.

Do not do business with this company. I didn't have a complaint about the product, I just wanted to change the shipping address, so I
sent them an e-mail on their site as instructed and received back an automated response that they would reply in 72 hours and for me
not to contact them again.
22 days later I get a charge of 44.90, 3 times on my charge card. When I called I am told they had nothing from me and I would be billed because
it was delivered to the address they had., which I was trying to get them to change as I would be away for 6 months. The only response I could get out of the supervisor was they would only credit me 20.oo per 44.90 charge and cancel my account.
Sure is a good way to make a 24.90 profit per product.
This sure teaches me a lesson.

And yes they did sell my e-mail address, My inbox is loaded now with junk mail.

My free order was shipped and I was charged only $4.95, I've just requested they cancel the order online to the customer service department. I'm 12 days from the date I received the product, however, I have lost close to 13 pounds in 12 days from the acaipure product. It does have a proprietery blend in it and you can order organic pure acai berry by the pound for $55 on line. You put it in yogurt or shake and it is much more powerful than capsule full and does not have anything else added to it. Will let you know if they charge me the $44 in a couple weeks.

The same happened to me. They have the offer restated in very small print at the bottom of the last page of ordering, claim that you must return the unused portion in 14 days or be charged for the entire bottle.

When I called them they were very 'righteous' about what they did as if there were nothing deceptive in their ad. It is deceptive!

I am going to find out how to report them for decesptive advertizing.

This should be investigated. This should be illegal!

On May 5, 2009 I ordered the ACAIPURE (for the amount of $1.95) after receiving the product on May 9, 2009...which was the wrong product...I was sent ACAIPOWERI then I called the cancelled the account(so I thought). I have the cancellation number and the person with whom I talked to on the phone. After checking my account(bank) I was charged $39.95 for a product which I DID NOT ORDER NOR DID I RECEIVE)! I again called the company...which they said I did not call them...I spoke to VALARIE. To no aveil I did not get the charges drop...this company is a ripeoff...they are very dishonest. I will be reporting them to the BBB! NO NOT BUY FROM THEM>>>you will be charged for something you did not order.

I agree this company should be brought to justice. By all means I would be glad to be included in a law suit. They make it difficult to return the product. You have to get a return number, that took me 10 days. Pills have to be retured in 14 days. What an outfit. I retuned the pills priority mail. Of course when I finally got a reply to my e-mail wanting to know why they charged my account 39.95 they said there no record of pills being returned. Pills had to be retuned to the Fulfillment center Largo, Fl. 33773. They said it takes the fulfillment center a long time to process returned, How great. In the meantime they are billing your credit card. I insursed the package and add ed a signed receipt, However the post office some how put the Insurance and signed receipt on someone;s package that went to New York, I still have my post office receipt showing I paid to mail package to Fl. I can not get a response to find how I send them a copy of post office receipt.
They just don't respond, , They are one rip off outfit. I will never get involved in anything free ever again. This has done me. When they say the word free, I am running away fast. I filed a compaint with the Attorney General's Office in AZ, aganist Central Coast Nut
racenticals Inc. Phoenix Az. 85016, thats where the pills were ordered. I closed out my credit card and obtained a new number, Hopefully they will not be able to charge me ever again.

This complaints are real and I feel the banks need to look in to these companies. I ordered from several places, and tried to tell them I did not want them to send me any more products.. but I was told that the product that I received really costed.. 39.95, and because I opened and used it I owed them that money.
I had to closed my checking account or I would of lost the money that was left in there.
So people spread the news, do not order anything that says free trial for 14 days.. only pay shipping and handling.. cause you will be charged a lot more money. They will not refund the money and they do not answer their phones. If you do get a answer it is from someone who speaks broken English.
So lets shut these companies down.

I also was overcharged on my bank card in the amount of 39.95 after I received my trial sample and paying 1.99 for shipping. I then went to my account and seen a charge for the 39.95 and I didn't authorize it and I want to know how do I go about getting my money back which they stole from my. Not happy at all and would of never bought again after trial sample.

I called originally and thought I was getting a free months supply and it was a free trial offer for 14 days. I took that to mean that I could try it for 14 days and see if it worked. It did not and gave me terrible bloating and I gained 4 pounds. My credit card was charged and I must call my bank and claim fraud. I called and cancelled and demanded my money back but they just said, "too bad! you did not read the small print. Your bank will refund but they will have to give us the money when we send them the small print. I don't think so! You can buy the same product at Sam's Club for a 2 month supply for only 14.98. That is such a big difference. Please call your bank and CC company and demand they withdraw the funds as fraud.

I have also completly agreed for this Acai fraud scam. They send me the "Free Trial" for $1.95 shipping and handling and after a 15 days without registering for membership, charged my credit card with (39.95 & 44.95). When I called there Customer sevive, no response..

Please don't do any business with AcaiPure...

I also had problems with this company. I finally had to cancel my credit card so they would not have the number and after several emails and phone calls they finally refunded my money. Those so called "free trial" offers are just a big scam and they use the names of famous people to lure us in. If you want a great diet pill and you can get your doctor to prescribe it, get phentramine 30mg. My insurance covered it and let me tell you it's the best thing to curb your appetite at least it does for me.

Have you reported fraud yet to your cc company? Also, cancel the card and have a new one reissued. That is what I am having to do.

I thought I was the only one this was happening to. I got on line to check the acaipure. As I was leaving the website of Central coast nutraceuticals a person came of saying she could get me a trial bottle for $1.99. I gave my credit card number but it said it couldn't take my card at that time. I ask this person for a number to call if I decided to order. Next thing I knew a "trial" bottle was sent to me, charging my credit card $4.95. Couple months later another bottle came which I didn't order. I called the customer service line, called the company, they said it said on the web site until I cancelled I would be sent a bottle every month. I told them I didn't order anything. Sent the second bottle back demanding a full refund. Still haven't got the refund. Checked my credit card statement and the have charged my card again. All without my ok. The customer service people hollered at me, hung up on me. screamed at me. I've been offered free bottles, a percentage off a bottle everything except my money back. How can a company get by with credit card fraud and a scam. It's like they're deaf they don't listen. I'm writing the CEO of the company, the vice president, BBB, general attorney for my state and of Florida.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I, too, foolishly signed up for the "Free" trial. I gave my credit card # to charge the $4.95 to. When I got my next credit card statement, there was a $39.95 charge on it and also, in the meantime, they sent me another bottle and charged another $44.90 to my credit card .I called up to complain and they told me the first charge of $39.95 was for the remainder of the 1st bottle and of course, the new charge is for the new bottle. I told them to stick it! I want these charges removed. I told them I never saw anything on their original email for the trial that says my charge card will be slammed with more charges and they said it is on there. I called my credit card company and I need to write a letter to dispute the charges but the woman I spoke with, told me I will have a hard time trying to get the charges taken off. I am sooooooooooo pissed. I am turning them into the BBB and the Attorney General.

I had the same thing happen to me I canceled my order within the 15 days asked Carlos my operator if i needed to do anything else he told me no and then I was charged 39.95 for not returning the remaining product. They must know they are scamming people because when I called to complain they credited me 20.00. The number I called was [protected] maybe some of you can get a partial refund too.

I have been charged repeatedly too and the toll free number offered through my credit card company is a non working number. Also, I think I
have been put on a mailing list they have generated and or where they sold my information due to the fact that I am getting tons of similar
offers now. These companies are so irritating.

I also have had the same problem with this company, it seems there should be a law against companies doing business like this. I will never order anything on line again.

i had also been a victim of this online fraud company . do not know what to do or whom to contact. i called my credit card company, but there are also have no suggestion how to tackle this. the company acai-pure is cashing on people 's pshchological temptations for loosing weight, IS THERE ANY ONE OUT THERE, WHO CAN HELP US ALL: DEAL WITH SUCH FRAUDULENT COMPANY ...I WOULD LIKE TO TEACH THEM A LESSON, CAN ANYONE BOMBARD THEIR MAILBOX WITH MAILS FOR RESOLUTION PLEASE ...

This is ridiculous, I agree with pretty much everything everyone else has said. I sent an email on getorderhelp.com to cancel the membership, which was what the phone number for acaipure told me to do and I got a confirmation email back saying they would contact in 24-48 hours. NO call NO email NO nothing. I was charged the next month and when I called to ask about these charges and they told me that no email was received. I don't understand how I would have gotten an email back if they say they hadn't gotten any from me. They told me they couldn't do anything and the I was going to have to send all the products back when I recieved them. DON'T EVER SIGN UP FOR THIS FREE TRIAL! IT'S CRAP. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND ENERGY OF DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE.
