Peter installed a flat roof on my attached Tudor several years ago. In the past 2 years or so, peeling paint is observable in 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms and new sheetrock, scraping and painting will be necessary to repair the damage from the leaking roof.
I blame Peter because a few roofers have been here in the meantime to assess what needs to be done to fix the roof leaks and they have each agreed conclusively that the roof was poorly installed and, further, one of them (who is also local) told me that he has had to fix damage to other roofs not installed properly by A-One Roofing & Home Improvement.
A parapet is defined as any low protective wall, barrier, embankment, fortification or partition at the edge of a balcony, roof, bridge or the like.
Specifically the rubber is supposed to have been extended up and over to cover the parapets (the raised sides of the roof which divide my roof from the roofs of my neighbors in the attached houses to my right and left). My neighbor to the north/on the left has recently complained to me that the paint is also peeling in one of his upstairs bedrooms and, having inspected his roof, it is clear to see that there are no problems on his side but that the flashing along the parapet dividing the 2 roofs has developed openings on my side where rain enters - something I would not now need to have repaired had Peter not cut corners to save a few dollars and fatten up his bottom line on the job by not extending the rubber up and over to cover my side of the parapets which is how the job should have been done.
If you are reading this Pete, I know you know who I am. You should do the right thing and come over here and fix the damage in which case I would be willing to remove this negative review and the duplicate negative reviews which I will be posting (or will already have posted) to Yelp as well as anywhere else which hosts reviews of contractors.
I can observe that each of my neighbors' roofs were properly installed with the rubber covering their sides of the parapets. It is very clear now that you consciously and dishonorably cut corners on this job and seemingly are doing so on other roofs as well. You should have done the job properly in the first place so I wouldn't be in this position now of having to have not only my roof but also my bedrooms and the bedroom of my neighbor repaired.

Prompt A-One Roofing to get in touch with Peter and hold him responsible as there have been many complaints regarding poor services and workmanship. Moreover, demand the necessary repairs to be done and the damages also to be compensated. Wait for the request to be fulfilled, hire a lawyer or raise an issue with the local contractors licensing bodies regarding poor installation.
