A 1 Discount Screening & Repair or other name is A.A.A. Screen. Same company run by Rob Harris at [protected]. I have no address for this company.

Screen enclosure ordered by me for two car garage opening was installed by the above company on Tuesday, June 08, 2006. I paid in full on same day as completion of installation. On June 14, 2006 I noticed outer track was discolored and I called the owner of the company to replace it. He said he would look at it on Thurs June 15, 2006. He never showed up. When I confronted him on Fri June 16,2006 he said he was at my house and did not see any problems. I told him this was untrue as I had been home all day waiting for him and he never showed up. On Friday June 16, 2006 I stopped payment on check number 885 in the amount of $725 (full amount for cost of screen enclosure). On Monday, June 19, 2006, Mr. Harris dispatched his installers to look at the tracks I complained about (the same tracks that he said he saw nothing wrong with on Fri, June 16, 2006). After speaking with the installer I advised him that I had stopped payment and would reissue a new check in the full amount when the tracks were replaced. He then called Mr. Harris and he and I had a very heated discussion about his blatant lie about his so call appearance at my home on Thurs. June 15, 2006. After many words I told him I would reissue a new check in the amount of $725 and he agreed to replace the tracks. The new tracks were installed on Tues, June 27, 2006.

On Tues, April 10, 2007 I called Mr. Harris to advise him that I needed new rollers and latches for the rolling screen door because the rollers were rusting and the latch was flapping around like a dead fish tail. Mr. Harris said he would call the manufacturer and would call me when he received them. I called Mr. Harris again on Monday, April 30, 2007 requesting information on his order for screen door rollers and latches. He then told me that he had "NOT" contacted the manufacturer and that he may be going out of business but he would see.

Today, Monday, May 7, 2007 I again called Mr. Harris. He then proceeded to tell me he remembered me from the initial installation and the hard time I gave him then. When I mentioned I had a one year warranty, he told me that the warranty was "at his discretion to honor if he chooses to". In my case he "would not" and what was I going to do about it, "sue him". I then hung up on him.

I realize the Mr. Harris has no intention of honoring his one year warranty with me. However, I do want my complaint to be on file with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Hopefully the Better Business Bureau can rectify this situation or at least prevent another home owner from doing business with Mr. Harris of the two businesses mentioned in the subject box above.
