3D General Contracting LLC review: Painting, minor repairs

I requested an estimate for painting prior to going into the hospital for major surgery. I wasn't concerned about the time frame. Originally Dennis stated it would take 2 weeks to complete what I wanted done. He sent 2 guys to start with prep. I walked through and showed them what had to be done right down to what prior picture holes had to be spackled. Well, they spackled, sanded and primed in 2 days. Came back the following week for the painting. They painted and said they were done. They never cleaned up the dust from spackling, he pieced together 3/4 round molding that was going down my stairway, didn't caulk the nail holes in the molding, didn't sand the molding around the windows where needed before painting. I called Dennis, the owner and had him come to my home because of the poor quality of work and all he didn't do that was required. He sent a guy back, I showed him what I wanted fixed. I left him to do the job. He let me know when he was finished. I contacted the owner asking about a final walk through with him. He told me to do it with the guy that was there. I did, I trusted that he completed everything and I paid him. Keep in mind I was recovering from major surgery. As I was able to move around better, I saw all the things that he still did not complete. I e-mailed Dennis and let him know but he never responded. Also, these guys are really good on their "God Bless" verbiage. Too bad they don't practice what they preach! At no time did the owner of the business check on his workers or the work they had done. I had to request he come to my house. Additionally, they didn't use bath and kitchen paint in the bathroom as requested. They used left over paint from other jobs and didn't use All Sherwin Williams paint. They got primer from Lowe's and they didn't seal the paint cans before they left.

Buyer beware. If you are not a member of Angi, you get calls from the bottom of the list when it comes to quality. I have painted many rooms and even helped with the construction of a second floor in a previous home.

I would not recommend this contractor.
