Service appointment, 01/31/23, 9:00AM
Reason: the smell and of burning oil was entering the cab of the car.
Date of purchase: Monday, May 31st, 2021
Status of Purchase: Certified Pre-Owned

I brought my vehicle to the above-mentioned dealership to have this issued looked at. I was asked by the service writer if the "engine light" was on, to which I replied that it was not. She then told me that if the light was on it could be covered by warranty, otherwise I would need to pay a $160.00 diagnostic fee.

I told her that I was being proactive by bringing the car in before the light came on to avoid the possibility of further damage. She then looked up my vehicle and the "Certified" status was "cancelled" How does this even happen?
I then called Empire Mazda of Huntington, NY to ask them because this is where I purchased the car. I've made 2 attempts to speak to them and ended up leaving massages that have yet to be responded to.

Desired outcome: Diagnostics and repair completed under warranty.
