We paid $2000 to Nancy Thomas-Price for a GSD puppy in March, 2021. As it turned out, we were sold a severely cow-hocked dog. Upon examination from my Veterinarian, the puppy was painful upon exam, had an uneven, unsteady gait, and ataxia in the hips. My vet indicated that this was clear evidence of future hip dysplasia and was likely neurological. We expressed our concerns and were told this was "normal for a puppy this age." (I know that's not the case as we've owned a GSD before and I work in the veterinary industry and know that this is highly abnormal!). The next physical exam revealed that our puppy's condition had worsened and we made the difficult decision to return the pup and reassured by Nancy that "of course she guarantees all of her dogs and she just wants us to be happy!" What happened ultimately is that she refused to speak with us further, insulted us as people and as dog owners, and acted like she was the victim (refusing to refund us or provide us with another puppy)! She's a liar and a bad breeder. She is extremely defensive and apparently gets away with this more often than not! I would like a refund and an apology for her unprofessional behavior. We have no dog and no money. Nancy has re-listed our former puppy for sale and obviously hopes to profit again off of this dog! I cannot state how unethical this is!

Notwithstanding any previous posting concerning Nancy Thomas Price, Cedar Crest K9 Academy, or Zeder Kamme German Shepherd, we are retracting these posts, and have resolved any difference with Ms. Price or her businesses to our satisfaction.
I take concerns about my dogs very seriously and am sorry you’ve had a bad experience. A diagnosis of hip dysplasia is not made by watching a dog walk. This was a developmental time of the pups growth.
I was glad to have your dog returned to me so that I could do a full and complete medical evaluation of your claims. Nine X-rays show the pup has good hips as reported by the orthopedic foundation of America, normal elbows(OFA) and normal spine. (Radiology specialty report). I would have expected you to be happy that in fact your pup does not have any of the issues you claim, as you said you really cared about this puppy. Instead you’ve become very angry that he is in fact healthy, and have lashed out at me! You told me that you did not want the expense of the evaluation. I was more than willing to do that. I bred a healthy dog and have been 100% honest through the entire process.
You also shared that you often kept the puppy in a crate because he was biting you. That could have had an impact on his development.
I am glad that I was able to get this pup back at less than 4 months old, so that he could have a normal life and committed family. He is a beautiful soul. Now over two years old, he is the picture of health and vitality.
