I needed some help in completing an online application form to the City of Toronto yesterday morning, I am not a high tech person & tried everying that I could attempting to upload an sign an online consent form with no result.
One appearntly willing yet incapble staff, another quite unwilling & more computer incapable staff & a counter staff all unable to help me in any way & no one was willing to find a more computer literate staff to help me.
A supervisor named something like ''Marsin'' first told me he was busy when I approached him for help, then he spent about 10 miutes walking around & engaging talks with a female staff sitting behind one of the independent counters. I thoiught these people have their jobs because they have a priority serving clients in need, not with each other. ''Marsin'' gave me an impression that he does not put client asking him for assistance his firest priority at all. Later I was suspecting that this supervisor '' Marsin'' signalled a fourth staff who was helping me on faxing a documents to go to him at the other end & acted out some form of retaliation or resentment against me
When this staff returned, she just told me that the machine she was coaching me to fax CANNOT FAX & only the ''out of order'' machine where she & ''Marsin'' talked just now can fax. Oddly in the way that she has already showed me how to find the start menu & then entered the fax number already before ''Marsin'' signalled her away. People working here shall know their machines better, especially she is one of the familiar faces I recognize working at this location.
I assumed ''Marsin'' was mad at me when I got a bit agitated & upset that even him could not help me earlier with finishing my online application with the consent form as I spent even more time explaining what assistance I required & what I wanted to do, etc. with him & the other 2 female staff before him. As computer time was runninmg out, that meant I have to redo everything.
Much disappointment & lots of shame for these people whose job & only job is to help people come to them for help!
