www.PrepaidGiftBalance.com Prepaid visa gift card

I received a $100 gift card purchased at Krogers as a birthday gift. I was required to register the card before using online because the sticker on the front said it was not activated. I went to www.prepaidgiftbalance.com to register but got an error message that advised me to call customer service at [protected]. I called and told them I wanted to register the card. I was then told the card had been compromised and it was detected by their advanced fraudulent reporting system. In order to remedy this I would need to fax a form of gov't ID, a photo of the debit card, my DOB, home address, and my phone number. Once received it would take 3 business days to receive a new card. I asked how they knew it was fraudulent when no name is associated with this gift card. They said it was their sophisticated fraudulent system that can easily detect any deceitful activity. The website doesn't work, then when you call you'll get told some ridiculous story just so they can steal your identity. I hung up and will not be faxing them my personal information. This is such a scam and I can’t believe reputable companies like Krogers sell this in their stores.

www.PrepaidGiftBalance.com I'd like them to refund the $25.

My 100 year old father was given a $25 credit card for his birthday. It didn't work so I called the company. They admitted it wasn't activated but had $25 on it. When I asked them to forward a new card that worked, they said I had to fax them three pieces of identification. My driver's license, personal information, and address. When I asked them to send an email they said they couldn't. They said they were attached to Kroger and I should use a fax machine somewhere.

they had the card on file. I gave them the last eight digits on the back, the three-digit code, and the sixteen-digit card number. I clearly had the card in my hand. This is a scam, no question about it, and my family just got stiffed. I wasn't talking to someone from the U.S. They transferred me and then hung up. I called back and he said he couldn't help me unless I sent personal information. They shouldn't be allowed to continue to fraud people.

Desired outcome: Or send a replacement card that works without expecting me to run to a store and fax them my personal information.

www.PrepaidGiftBalance.com Gift card

I received a gift card as a gift from a friend. This Gift card was purchased from Kroger, Plano, Tx. When I checked the account balance after few days, it had zero balance due to an unauthorized transaction. I reached out to the number given at the back of the card after multiple attempts and they filed a complaint and asked me to wait for 90 days to resolve this issue. I was not provided with any ticket or reference number and i was told calling back that number is the only way to track the issue.

Country of complaint: United States

Desired outcome: I need my money back into the card.
